Experience Autumn in a Fairytale

Tove Jansson Akebono Children's Forest Park, located at 893-1 Aza, Hannō City, Saitama Prefecture, was born from a correspondence with the famous Finnish fairy tale writer Tove Jansson. Throughout the park, you can see the Moomin family and friends from the author's stories, living in a valley surrounded by mountains. The park is as magical and mysterious as Moomin Valley, like a secluded fairy tale realm where children, adults, creatures, and plants accept each other and freely enjoy the passage of time. - Free admission - Opening hours: Weekdays 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Weekends and holidays 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM - Transportation: Driving is recommended, with free parking available at the park entrance. The nearest station is Seibu Ikebukuro Line's Motokaji Station, a 20-minute walk away. If you prefer not to walk, you can take a taxi from the Seibu Ikebukuro Line's Bushi Station, costing about 1000 yen one way. - Facilities: Mushroom House, Children's Theater, Forest House (currently under construction and not open), and a café (cash only). The Mushroom House is highly recommended, featuring a mini world made entirely of wood, full of detailed craftsmanship. As a twenty-something, I had a blast playing there. This year, I didn't specifically go to see the autumn leaves, but I stumbled upon this fairy tale world and witnessed a unique autumn foliage beauty.
