InterContinental Jinan City Center: An excellent choice for a vacation To explore a city I had never been to, I took advantage of the New Year holiday to visit Jinan for the first time and experience the unique charm of "Winter in Jinan" as described by Lao She. I originally booked the Kempinski Hotel Jinan, but its remote location was not conducive to daily shopping and sightseeing, so I discovered the InterContinental Jinan City Center. This is a well-established 5-star hotel that was renovated in 2017. The hotel's greatest advantage is its excellent location in the bustling city center. The lobby is on the 7th floor and is spacious and atmospheric. Downstairs is the Guihe Shopping Center, which is home to many top brands. The first floor is next to Gada, and next door is the popular Hang Lung Plaza. From the hotel room, you can see the Quanshi Square, and across the street is my favorite CIGAD, which became my favorite breakfast choice every day. It is especially convenient that within a 5-10 minute walk, you can reach famous attractions in Jinan such as Daming Lake, Baotu Spring, Qushuiting Street, and Furong Street, making it very convenient to get around. The hotel room rates are also very attractive. We booked a deluxe twin room for only CNY 800 per night during the New Year holiday. The room is 47 square meters, spacious and comfortable. The corridor is also thoughtfully equipped with seats for smokers. In terms of service, the staff at the front desk, concierge, restaurant, and gym all demonstrated a high level of professionalism and provided attentive and enthusiastic service. The breakfast was carefully prepared with a wide variety of local specialties, showing the hotel's dedication. Of course, the hotel is not perfect, and some facilities are slightly outdated, such as the curtains and toilets, which are still manually operated, and the coffee in the room is instant coffee, which could be improved. However, this does not affect the overall experience. In summary, the InterContinental Jinan City Center is an excellent choice for a stay in Jinan, with its superior location, attentive service, and reasonable prices.
