Jizoin Temple

#tokyotravel Address: 23 Yamadakitanocho, Nishikyo Ward, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan 🇯🇵 Jizoin Temple, also known as Take-no-tera Bamboo Temple. was built by Hosokawa Yoriyuki back in 1367 as a temple of the Rinzai sect of Buddhism. The main gate is open on a bamboo forest hiding two pavilions of a refined simplicity and a lovely serene Japanese garden. The bamboo forest, moss, and autumn leaves were beautiful and could not be expressed in words.
