I did a lot of research before setting off and chose a niche destination - Nannuo Mountain, one of the six major tea mountains! It is 29 km from the airport, less than an hour's drive. The altitude is high, and the main residents are the Hani people, a minority with different characteristics from the Dai people. The mountain is covered with tea trees over 100 years old, and there is also an 800-year-old tea king. You can drive to the old village on the hillside and then walk about 2 km to visit the 800-year-old "tea tree king". The scenery along the way is breathtaking, with primeval forests and tea gardens. When we went, there was some light rain, and we could see the sea of clouds; When we went down the mountain, the clouds cleared, and we could clearly see the city at the foot of the mountain 🏙️ For lunch, we chose Fuxingji Pu'er Tea Villa in Guniang Village, which is very convenient as it is right next to the road! The owner is a handsome Hani man, who is very talkative and warmly received us and explained the situation of the villa, providing us with Hani costumes for photos. We drank tea, ate Dai food, drank slow-cooked chicken soup, tasted home-grown vegetables, and listened to the local ethnic toasting songs. It is a great place to return to nature! It is recommended to stay on the mountain for one night to experience the local culture in depth. In the morning, you can enjoy the sea of clouds and watch the sunrise 🌅, in the evening, you can watch the sunset 🌇 and the sunset glow, and at night, you can watch the starry sky 🌃 The villa is an old Hani house, and it is clear that a lot of effort has been put into decorating it, even the tiles on the roof have their own history. In addition, almost every household on Nannuo Mountain grows tea and makes tea. You can make an appointment to experience making Pu'er tea cakes and draw patterns on them before you go. It is very suitable for parent-child participation, allowing you to learn about Pu'er tea culture in depth, enrich your child's life experience, and make a good tea cake to drink when you grow up, which is very meaningful 😆 Tips: It is colder on the mountain than in Jinghong City, so bring a thick coat.
