Mixed reviews about Nan'ao Island? Let me share my real experience

The first time I was drawn to Nan'ao Island was when I saw Han Han's movie "Only Fools Rush In," in which Liu Haoran rides a motorcycle and speeds along the island's ring road. For those coming from out of town, you should first fly to Jieyang Chaoshan Airport, then take the airport express to downtown Shantou, or take the high-speed train to Shantou Station. The best way to get to Nan'ao Island from Shantou is by car. You can rent a car in Shantou, and the round-trip bridge toll is CNY 96, which is waived on holidays. After crossing the Nan'ao Bridge, turn right and you will see a red lighthouse, which stands out against the blue sky and sea. This is the Changwei Mountain Lighthouse, and the road from the lighthouse to Houzhai Town is known as the "most beautiful ring road," with mountains, sea, and flowers along the way. It's a pleasant drive or ride. Nan'ao Island has a coastline of 94.3 km, and there is no fixed route for visiting the island. You can walk along the ring road and stop wherever you like, as there are beautiful views everywhere.
