Tartini Square (Tartinijev trg) is the central square located in the beautiful port city of Piran, Slovenia. It is known for its Italian Renaissance-style architecture and serves as the main tourist area. The square was created in the late 19th century during the reorganization of the city center and is known as the most important cultural and social hub in Piran. The square is named in honor of Giuseppe Tartini, a famous Italian composer and violinist from Piran. A statue of him stands in the center of the square, commemorating his legacy. Tartini Square was once part of the harbor, but over time, the land was filled in to create the circular square we see today, providing a resting place for tourists.
