Enjoying Nature and the City

Day 1: In the early morning, we departed from the bustling Myeongdong area and took the subway to Seoul Forest in Seongdong District. This oasis in the heart of Seoul is a city park that blends nature and art. As soon as we stepped into the park, the fresh scent of grass and trees greeted us, instantly making us feel relaxed. We strolled along the Maple Tree Avenue, enjoying the dappled sunlight filtering through the trees. Inside the park, there is a small deer garden where the gentle deer attract many visitors who stop to feed them, with children's laughter filling the air. At noon, we chose to rest at an outdoor café in the park, enjoying a cup of hand-brewed coffee and waffles, accompanied by the crisp sound of birdsong, making us feel like we were in a paradise. In the afternoon, we visited the design museum in one corner of the park, where we admired exhibitions of local artists' creations, experiencing Seoul's charm not only in its natural beauty but also in its cultural creativity. In the evening, we returned to the city center to Dongdaemun Design Plaza, where the modern architecture adorned with lights and the bustling night market provided a stark contrast, adding different layers to our day's experience. Day 2: On the second day, we chose a cultural and historical exploration itinerary. In the morning, we headed to Bukchon Hanok Village, where the traditional buildings perfectly preserve Korea's ancient atmosphere. Walking along the paths interwoven with blue tiles and stone alleys, we frequently stopped to take photos, capturing the unique scenery. At noon, we enjoyed a rich and nourishing Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) at a traditional restaurant. In the afternoon, we returned to the vicinity of Seoul Forest, this time specifically visiting the park's wetland ecological garden to learn how this green space coexists with urban life. The wetland is home to a variety of plant species and various waterfowl leisurely resting, making us marvel at such an ecological environment within the city. In the evening, we rented a bike and leisurely rode along the Han River bike path, watching the sunset paint the sky red, filling our hearts with peace and emotion. After the journey, we enjoyed Korean BBQ and music performances in the Hongdae area, concluding this trip filled with nature and culture perfectly. The tranquility and beauty of Seoul Forest made us rediscover Seoul, realizing that busyness and leisure can harmoniously coexist.
