Zhangyan Park is located at No. 68 Huaxian Road, Zhangyan Town, Jinshan District, Shanghai. It is the only park in Shanghai with the classical garden style of the Yuan Dynasty and is open to the public for free. According to historical records, it can be traced back to the Yuan Dynasty. In the Yuan Dynasty, the park was the private residence of Wu Liang, a local noble family. After the expansion of Wu Liang (Zhen Shi), a descendant of the Ming Dynasty, it became the famous "Wu Family Garden". During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, it became part of the Qian Family Yizhuang, commonly known as the "Qian Family Garden". It is said that Hai Rui, an honest official in the Ming Dynasty, was a relative of Wu Liang, and young Hai Rui once enjoyed flowers and read books in this garden, which became a beautiful story. In the Qing Dynasty, the Qian family built three buildings called Gulao Songlou, which were destroyed by fire in the Xianfeng Xinyou War, and the double apricots, double pines, and Gulao Songlou in the garden were all destroyed. In 1953, the park was named "People's Park". In 1956, the government mobilized the masses to organize and arrange, and rebuilt some scenic spots.
