No. 22 The Bund was built in 1906 and was originally the British Swire Company. After the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, Swire Company withdrew from China, and this building was nationalized and assigned to the "Fenghua" Ballpoint Pen Factory, also known as the "Fenghua Building." Today, No. 22 The Bund attracts a large number of tourists and citizens as the only "century-old red building" on the Bund, and has become a shining pearl among the World Architecture Expo Group in Shanghai.
