Visited Shodoshima in Kagawa Prefecture for the third time

This trip was not a solo healing journey❤️‍🩹, nor was it to admire the autumn leaves🍁, but a joyful trip with 5 friends! From Takamatsu Port in Kagawa Prefecture, we took a ferry🛳️ to Shodoshima under the guidance of Takamoto and Nishikata. The six of us set foot on Japan's 'Olive Kingdom', the second largest island in the Seto Inland Sea, Shodoshima. As it was my third visit, I naturally became the guide for this trip. Four of the group were visiting the island for the first time, so we decided to go for a slow-paced sightseeing tour. After arriving the evening before, we first went to the guesthouse (see photos 16. 17) to drop off our luggage, then went out to experience the romance at Angel Road after sunset, listening to the sound of the waves and feeling the warmth of Shodoshima. At night, we bought lots of snacks and fine wine at the island's supermarket and chatted back at the guesthouse until late, reminiscent of our university days. The next day, we first visited Marukin Soy Sauce for a tour and tasted soy sauce ice cream🍦. Surprisingly, after buying a 500 yen ticket, we also received a small bottle of soy sauce as a gift🎁 and a 100 yen shopping voucher. When buying ice cream, we could use up to two vouchers at once, which felt like getting the ticket money back After lunch, we went to the olive🫒 garden, fulfilling the dreams of some of the ladies to be witches. And I was also 'in business', playing the role of a warlock for a bit! Finally, we visited the Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village, stepping into the world of Japanese dramas I long for, sitting in the seaside classroom, gazing at the sea and daydreaming. I also left my handwriting in the guestbook, which interested friends can go and find. (The date is May 26, 2024.) In the end, we departed from Fukuda Port in the evening glow, escorted by Shodoshima's yuru-chara OLIVE SHIMA-CHAN and his girlfriend MIMOZA NORIKU-CHAN, and safely returned to Himeji Port on Honshu, back to Osaka. This trip was not a commando-style one, but a slow-paced, close-up happy journey, which is also the travel style I recommend.
