Cikanteh,Little Hiking From Curug Sodong

It is worth driving 4.5 hours (180 km) by car from Jakarta to reach Curug Cikanteh. It is in the area of UNESCO Global Geopark: Ciletuh, Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia. Once we arrived in car parking area, we could closely look at another waterfall, Curug Sodong. Accompanied by 1 local guide, we started short (about 800 meters) medium hiking to Curug Cikanteh. The hiking trail is quite steep and rocky in certain parts of the trail. It would be slippery during the rainy season passing through the muddy soil of the rainforest. We also crossed a short bamboo bridge. Curug Cikanteh is a hidden and beautiful nature. There was no one in the spot, when we (4 people, including the guide) arrived at 1 pm. There were only 1 other family, when we left after enjoying the scenery, listening the waterfall and taking a lot of pictures. The expense was IDR 50.000 for the guide, IDR 10,000 for car parking, and voluntary donation for the waterfalls. Tips: 1. Visit on weekday to avoid traffic congestion in certain part of non toll road (108 km), and more hikers on weekend. 2. Leave early in the morning from Jakarta. 3. Wear good trekking shoes. 4. Spare times to enjoy beautiful scenery of Geopark Ciletuh in some viewing spot, such as Puncak Darma and Puncak Gebang. #hiking
