Yun She Village

Yun She Folk Village is located in Taoyuan Mountain Scenic Area, Taoyuan County, Changde City. House features: Most of the wooden houses are single-story, which is the form of residential buildings in northwestern Hunan. They may have three rooms, or four rooms, and occasionally there is an extra side room. The dark brown columns, board walls, and roofs that have grown full of moss exude an aged look that has withstood the test of time, making it hard to discern how long they have been situated here. One can only imagine the many changes of dynasties that have occurred beyond these mountains. Upon entering, you find yourself in the main hall, with the bedroom on the right and the washroom on the left, each room spacious yet cozy. The high roof, with its blue tiles and wooden beams matched with oak strips, gives a sense of comfort as if breathing with the outdoors. The back wall of the main hall is a large piece of glass, reflecting the hillside and bamboo behind the house, offering a fresh view with the changing seasons every day. If it snows, it feels like resting on a vast field of snow. The wooden furniture inside is exquisite, made from old Phoebe zhennan wood, crafted by experts from the Forbidden City. The linen is made of pure hemp, finely spun, in its original white color, simple yet comfortable. The sanitary ware is luxurious, with all metal parts custom-ordered from Jomoo, Italy, in an antique Chinese bronze style. Surrounding scenery: Following Qin Creek, turn left between two mountains. A stream meanders along the valley, sometimes narrow, sometimes wide, reflecting the lush greenery of the valley as clear as jade. The sound of water and wind, along with the symphony of insects and birds in the quiet mountains, creates a serene and distant atmosphere. The sunlight, as fresh as the air, shines through the trees and bamboo, casting moving beams of light that illuminate the moss, ferns, and scattered wildflowers in the forest, giving a sense of untouched wilderness. From afar, the buildings are not visible; occasionally, a corner of a green roof peeks through the treetops, only to be engulfed by greenery again. If you look long enough, it's like a child's game of hide and seek. As you approach, there are small courtyards and wooden houses in the valley, mushroom-like, clustered and nestled in the woods, appearing to grow and decay naturally, blending seamlessly with the natural world. The walls of the courtyards are low, winding through bamboo groves or bushes, like ancient vines. The walls are made of earth, stone, or brick, some covered with green moss, some with climbing vines, and some with hanging wildflowers, each unique. Their appearance and grace are natural, without any ostentatious display. The courtyard floors are all tamped with glutinous rice, lime, clay, and tung oil, clean and solid. A land nourishes its inhabitants, and Yun She Village is not a vague and hazy castle in the sky, but a rooted home that grows from and belongs to the local land~~
