Huguangyan is located in the southwest of Mazhang District, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, about 15 kilometers from Xiashan District. It is a natural scenic spot dominated by maar volcanic geological landforms. Not only are there magnificent mountains and rivers, clear lakes, unique caves and other natural wonders, but also rich historical and cultural relics. The core scenic spot of Huguangyan is a typical representative of China's maar lake, known as the "natural environment change yearbook", and is the starting point for the study of China's maar lake. Huguangyan also has ancient temples such as Lengyan Temple and Baiyi Temple, as well as cultural landscapes such as the cliff stone carvings of "Huguangyan" written by Li Gang, the prime minister of the Song Dynasty.
