Head Southwest to the Mountains and Rivers

Starting from Yichang, head west along the Yangtze River to the provincial border of Badong. The mountains are high and the water is tranquil. The winding roads under the cliffs and the villages on the cliffs make me, a person from the North China Plain, nervous and curious. This is the real mountain village in my mind. Passing by a mountain village, I turned in and took a break. The ripe loquats on the roadside were very tempting. I asked the mountain girl washing clothes in front of the door if I could try one. Her standard Mandarin surprised me, "Sure." I reached out and picked one. It was very sweet, completely different from the taste of the ones in the market at home. I wanted to eat another one. "Help yourself," she said. I ate another one, still sweet. I was too embarrassed to ask for more, so I thanked her and left. On the road, I met an old man picking oranges. I stopped the car and asked him. The old man didn't speak, but smiled and handed me an orange. I asked how much it was, and he mumbled something I didn't understand, then gave me another one. So I didn't dare to speak again, and smiled back. I was overwhelmed by his kindness. There are still such pure places in the mountains, simple, kind, lovely, beautiful, and touching! I couldn't help but reflect on my own soul. Except for the difficult mountain roads, everything is great!
