I want to visit Mont Saint-Michel at least once!
🇫🇷🗼
Mont Saint-Michel is located in the Burgundy region of France.
It used to be a monastery on an isolated island.
Therefore, it was a life-threatening journey to get to the island.
Because the crossing was dependent on the tides, many pilgrims were swept away by the waves and lost their lives on the way.
Now, a walkway has been built, and it is possible to walk across.
It has become a tourist destination visited by many people every year!
When you enter the island, tourists are greeted by the main street lined with hotels, restaurants, souvenir shops, and other shops.
While looking at food and souvenirs, you can walk towards the monastery where Archangel Michael is.
You will walk along old-fashioned cobblestone roads and climb stairs, so it may be a good idea to bring less luggage.
As mentioned above, the island on which Mont Saint-Michel is located is an isolated island. It is surrounded by the sea.
However, because the tides are so large, once the tide goes out, the entire visible area becomes land.
I visited during low tide.
I was able to explore the area around the island, which is usually considered dangerous to walk around without a guide.
It was a rare opportunity to see the other side of the island 👀✨
However, the wide range of low tide means that high tide comes quickly.
Be sure to take safety precautions, such as checking the tide times and signing up for a tour organized by the tourist information center.

Adult trip to Paris🥐☕️
Paris is a city where the world changes just by walking around✨
Here are three recommended places to visit
① Mont Saint-Michel
Rapunzel's castle was modeled after this place🪄
You can see the whole view that changes with the tides
When you go inside, there are many souvenir shops
It's a fun place (I recommend wearing comfortable clothes because you'll be walking!)
② Arc de Triomphe
This is the Arc de Triomphe on the main street
If you come to Paris, I definitely recommend this place!
If you want to take a photo, take it a little further away
and you can take a beautiful photo✨
(It seems you can go up to the top of the Arc de Triomphe
Next time, I'd like to go up and see the view from above)
③ An amusement park in the city of Paris
The combination of the Eiffel Tower and the merry-go-round
at night was sparkling✨ and wonderful🤤✨
Japanese is not spoken in Paris
English is a must! I can only speak Japanese
and I was lucky to meet someone who could speak Japanese🤣
I want to travel to Paris again~💗

Mont-Saint-Michel is a tidal island and mainland commune in Normandy, France. The island lies approximately one kilometre off the country's north-western coast, at the mouth of the Couesnon River near Avranches and is 7 hectares in area.
Saint-Aubert, the Bishop of Avranches, founded Mont Saint Michel in 708 after having seen the archangel Saint-Michel appear in his dreams three times.
The island was originally called Mont-Tombe but became known as Mont-Saint-Michel in the 8th century, when St. Aubert, bishop of Avranches, built an oratory there after having a vision of the archangel St. Michael. It rapidly became a pilgrimage centre, and in 966 a Benedictine abbey was built there.

World Heritage Site Mont Saint-Michel
I went there on a tour from Japan.
I wanted to go to Mont Saint-Michel,
and I looked for a tour to stay near Mont Saint-Michel.
If you go on a tour, they will take you right to the place even if it is far away,
so I use it when I want to go to a faraway place.
If you go on a tour, they will explain a lot of things to you, so it is useful.
I forget what I hear though. lol
There are also one-day tours from Paris,
so if you have free time while sightseeing in Paris, I recommend taking a tour from the local area.

This castle called Le Mont Saint Michel in the French Normandy is the most romantic and epic place in France. If you are going to get engaged - this is the place for you!

Everyone has a different imagination for the castle. It is a beautiful tall building. It is a luxurious and luxurious lifestyle. Is it a wonderful fairy tale that a beautiful princess, a handsome prince and a chic knight perform together? No matter what, the castle, for us, is always a charming place full of infinite charm with mystery. When we were young, we liked to use sand to shape their vagaries. When we grew up, we saw more and more, and the castle gradually faded away from mystery. If there is still an impulse to the castle, I am afraid that it will only be explored in the sky. In the early morning, the sun was still torn with the horizon, and the mist after the ebb tide covered the earth. In the vagueness, the city of the sky in that dream was really in sight.

A place you should visit at least once in your life!!
Mont Saint-Michel is known as one of France's famous World Heritage Sites 🇫🇷
It takes about 3.5 hours by train and bus from Paris city, but it's well worth the time ✨
There are tours, but they are often day trips and you won't be able to see Mont Saint-Michel at night, so if you have the time, I recommend staying overnight nearby! (Because it's in the countryside, there is a lot of nature around and it is often a little far from the hotel.)
It's beautiful during the day, of course, but at night it is lit up, so the atmosphere changes completely, which is a highlight!
In addition to the main monastery, Mont Saint-Michel also has hotels, restaurants, souvenir shops, and more, and because it is designed like a maze, you can enjoy it like a kind of attraction!

Enchanted Tides: A Day at Mont Saint-Michel, France
#europetrip
Rising dramatically from the tidal flats of Normandy, Mont Saint-Michel is a vision straight out of a fairytale. As I approached this UNESCO World Heritage Site, the sight of the medieval abbey perched atop the rocky island took my breath away. Encircled by shifting tides and shimmering waters, it felt like stepping into a world where history and legend come alive.
Crossing the modern causeway, I was greeted by winding cobblestone streets that seemed to spiral endlessly toward the abbey at the summit. Lined with charming shops, cafés, and stone houses, the streets buzzed with the energy of visitors exploring this magical village. As I climbed higher, the views became more and more breathtaking, with the surrounding tidal flats stretching as far as the eye could see.
The crown jewel of Mont Saint-Michel is the Abbey itself, a Gothic masterpiece with its soaring spires and intricate stonework. Inside, the tranquil beauty of the abbey’s cloisters and the grandeur of the vaulted ceilings transported me to another era. The whispers of history seemed to echo through the halls, recounting centuries of monastic life, pilgrimages, and perseverance against the elements.
One of the most mesmerizing aspects of Mont Saint-Michel is its tides, which shift dramatically throughout the day. Watching the water creep in or recede, leaving rippling sands in its wake, added a dynamic, almost mystical quality to the experience. It’s no wonder this site has been a source of inspiration and wonder for centuries.
Mont Saint-Michel is more than just a historic marvel—it’s a place where nature, architecture, and spirituality come together in perfect harmony. From the quaint streets and panoramic views to the awe-inspiring abbey, every moment here felt like a journey through time and a reminder of the beauty of human ingenuity and the natural world.

Mont Saint-Michel, Normandy
#domestictravel
Mont Saint-Michel is a breathtaking destination for anyone visiting Normandy. This iconic island commune, with its towering abbey and medieval architecture, transports visitors to another era. The journey itself is exciting, as Mont Saint-Michel is connected to the mainland by a causeway that becomes covered during high tide, enhancing the island’s mythical charm. Once there, visitors can explore winding, narrow streets lined with shops, restaurants, and museums, all leading up to the famed abbey at the summit. The abbey’s history, dating back to the 8th century, makes it an unmissable highlight, offering panoramic views of the surrounding bay. Watching the tide rise and fall around the island is an unforgettable experience, especially at dawn or dusk, when the light plays beautifully against the stone structures. Mont Saint-Michel is particularly appealing to history enthusiasts and those seeking scenic photography opportunities. The island can become crowded, especially during peak seasons, so visiting early or off-season is recommended to fully appreciate its serenity. Whether you’re captivated by religious history, medieval architecture, or just the sheer uniqueness of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mont Saint-Michel is a must-see destination that leaves a lasting impression.

Mont Saint-Michel
There are so many places I want to go to before I die (so much so that I won't be able to die anytime soon...(^^ゞ),
and number one on my list was Mont Saint-Michel.
Finally, that dream is coming true.
From Trouville, we finally headed towards the long-awaited Mont Saint-Michel. Looking out the window from the car, I could faintly see something △-shaped in the distance~ I thought I was seeing it, and couldn't help but rub my eyes (^^ゞ After driving for a while, we came onto the bridge leading to the island. It's a bit disappointing that the weather is so bad~

Magical island in France
"Mont Saint-Michel" is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as is its breathtaking bay. It is most unforgettable sights. This beautiful place is captured the imagination. The place looks like Hogmete in Harry potter. You can feel like you are in the magical village. So much good weather and place. You should come visiting once in a life time
The story of this mount is Aubert, bishop of the nearby hilltop town of Avranches, claimed that the Archangel Michael himself had pressured him into having a church built atop the island just out to sea. From 966 onwards, the dukes of Normandy, followed by the French kings, supported the development of a major Benedictine abbey on Mont-Saint-Michel. Magnificent monastic buildings were added throughout the Middle Ages, one vertiginous wing in particular being nicknamed the Marvel. The Abbey of the Mont-Saint-Michel is known as centre of learning in Europe.
You can come here by car. There are a lots of parking lots. I bought klook tour from paris. Here taking about 4 hours long from Paris to Mont Saint Micheal. There are a hotel in this island.

#FranceMont-Saint-Michel: A historical miracle in paradise on earth
Le Mont-Saint-Michel is a famous island monastery located in the Normandy region of France. It attracts many tourists with its unique location and historical value. The following is an article about Monte Saint-Michel
Le Mont-Saint-Michel is a jewel in the Normandy region of France. This small island monastery has attracted countless pilgrims and tourists since ancient times. Its magnificent architecture, stunning natural landscape and rich history make it one of the most fascinating tourist destinations in the world.
historical background
The history of Monte Saint-Michel can be traced back to 708 AD, when a bishop named Saint-Aubert was inspired by the angel Saint Michael in a dream and decided to build a church on this island. Over time, the church was gradually expanded into a majestic monastery and became one of the important pilgrimage sites in the Middle Ages. Today, Monte Saint-Michel is listed on the World Heritage List and is a paradise for history lovers and religious believers.
architectural wonder
The architectural style of Monte Saint-Michel combines Gothic and Romanesque architectural elements, making it majestic. The monastery consists of a series of exquisite churches, monks' dormitories and fortifications, layered one on top of another, like a stone castle. Climbing to the highest point of the monastery, you can overlook the magnificent sea view and the surrounding beaches. Whether it is sunrise or sunset, the view is intoxicating.
natural beauty
Monte Saint-Michel is surrounded by the vast ocean and the changing tides create a unique natural landscape. Whenever the tide is high, the island is surrounded by seawater, as if it is an isolated island floating on the sea; when the tide is low, a large tidal flat is revealed in front of you, and tourists can walk to the island on foot. This unique geographical phenomenon makes Monte Saint-Michel a paradise for photographers and nature lovers.
cultural experience
At Monte Saint-Michel you can visit the various historical monuments inside the monastery and learn about medieval religious life and building techniques. In addition, there are many specialty shops and restaurants on the island, where you can taste local French cuisine and buy souvenirs. During your trip, take a local guided tour to learn more about the island's history and culture.

Mont Saint-Michel on a sunny day doesn't need any retouching.
We were so lucky. It was rainy in Paris for several days, but it was sunny on the day we went to Mont Saint-Michel.
Mont Saint-Michel is more than 4 hours away from Paris by car. The advantage of joining a day tour is that you don't have to transfer between different modes of transportation, and a tour guide is provided. The disadvantage is that the itinerary is very tight. You leave at 7:15 am and return to Paris after 9 pm. If you want to have fun, you don't have time to eat a proper meal. If you want to eat, you don't have much time to have fun. So, if possible, you can stay there for one night and visit the nearby towns.

When you think of France, Mont Saint-Michel comes to mind 🪽
Mont Saint-Michel, located in Normandy, is surrounded by the sea on all sides, and the entire town is built on a rocky mountain like a fortress, making it an unusual shape. After some research, I found out that it began in 708 when Archangel Michael appeared in a dream to Bishop Aubert and told him to build a cathedral on the mountain 🪽.
My impression of visiting was that the silhouette of Mont Saint-Michel is easier to see from afar lol. Once inside, there are many narrow streets like a maze, which was interesting in its own way.

Enjoy Mont Saint-Michel!
Mont Saint-Michel shows different faces depending on the time of day. In the morning and evening, you might think you're in a different place. Sunset is also beautiful, but I recommend going early in the morning. It's like a mirage, and you can't tell if it's real or not, as if you're floating in the air. I recommend staying at least one night, rather than just going for a day trip. And if you're staying overnight, I recommend the Mercure Mont Saint-Michel. There's a free shuttle bus stop right in front of the hotel, which is very convenient. If you don't mind walking, you can walk to the site. The surrounding environment is also wonderful, with a campsite, and the air feels very fresh. #MontSaint-Michel #0yenTripNovember

Mont Saint-Michel is a fantastical small island located in the Normandy region of France. It is a mystical place where access to the mainland changes with the tides. The abbey towers at the top, with stone buildings cascading down like steps, creating a beautiful landscape that feels like something out of a fairy tale. As a place where history from the Middle Ages lives on, it captivates visitors and is registered as a World Heritage site. If you are in France, Mont-Saint-Michel is a must-see! It is like entering a fairy tale.
