2024 Pinggu District Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in December)

#localescapes We had a roadtrip to Pinggu for a weekend. It’s at the far east of Beijing. We found a small cost home stay near Jinhai lake. 🧺 We had a picnic by the lake the day we arrived. You can actually rent tents, tables and chairs on the spot however we brought our own stuff and then you can hang for free. ⛵️the lake is amazing and you can rent different kind of boats, kayaks and SUP. 🏎️ we tried Go-Karting down one of the mountains. They will take you up with a buss from the ticket/parking area and then you can race down the mountain at your own speed. Very cool and fun experience. #beijing #instatravel #trip #picnic #pinggu

| The "Mini MacLehose Trail" in Pinggu! You know the MacLehose Trail, which was rated as one of the world's most beautiful hiking trails by National Geographic, right? I didn't expect that there is a similar "Mini MacLehose Trail" in the suburbs of Beijing! 📍It's in Jinhai Lake, Pinggu. You can navigate to the Wisteria Ground Parking Lot. It's very convenient to drive there. This place is really great👏! There are very few people, and there were almost no people when I went there. When I climbed to the top of the mountain and saw the whole lake, I was shocked! It's not a scenic spot, so parking is free, and no tickets are required. You can also bring your pets🐶. The whole journey is not difficult, and the elderly and children can walk. 📝The hiking route is from Donggedong to the old site of Banshan Pavilion, and the scenery along the way is super beautiful. You can navigate to Nanhua Villa, and you will see a sign that says Wisteria, which is the entrance. You can park your car under the sign. Walk for about 10 minutes, and you will see a sign for the entrance to the mountain on the right. I only walked along the lake, which is about 2 km back and forth. It took me 4 hours to walk and take photos, and it should take 1.5 hours if you walk fast. There is a low stone plank road on the mountain and a flat hard mud road by the lake. There is also a large loop of about 8 km, with an elevation gain of more than 300. Sometimes there will be wind, so remember to wear a windbreaker. The weather is nice these days🌤️, which is very suitable for hiking here. Don't miss such beautiful scenery.

$A cafe in the mountains of Beijing where you can enjoy a vacation alone. Name: Yu Zi Shan Yin. Location: Pinggu $Quiet and secluded, it's very comfortable to just sit there and do nothing. It makes you feel like time is slowing down. $Surrounded by mountains, with a terrace on the second floor, it's pretty good overall. The food and drinks are average.

$Pinggu, Bolitai Great Wall - Dongzhihu, 10 km. Recommended for all who want to experience hiking. Suitable for the elderly and children. The route is half in the mountains and half on the road, and the half in the mountains is still in the scenic area. It's all about having a relaxing and enjoyable time. $After a short climb up the Great Wall, it's basically woods and stone steps. The footholds are clear, and the route is guided all the way. After passing through Yixiantian, you will reach the magic forest. The little squirrels are still foraging in the forest. $Hiking in Beijing becomes difficult after the temperature drops, as you have to overcome the early mornings and the cold, and the sun sets early. But it's all worth it to see such beautiful scenery, and you'll be happy all the way. The wind blows through the mountains, and the falling frost is like snow, falling on the stones and leaves, as if sprinkled with coconut and icing sugar, making nature's cake even sweeter.

You can then find the best route based on your location. $I personally recommend the section from "Tianyun Mountain Scenic Area" to "Bolita Village." You can navigate to one of these two points and head to the other. $Places along the way: Jinhai Lake, Huangsongyu Reservoir, Tianyun Mountain Scenic Area, Peach Blossom Sea, Bolitai/Dongzhihu, Yangjiatai Reservoir, etc.

It's very chill 🤗 I love this birthday guesthouse so much!! It basically embodies my ideal life, and every detail is aesthetically pleasing 😄 The bedroom and living room both have large floor-to-ceiling windows. Open the curtains and you'll see a birch forest! Every photo you take is a masterpiece~ In autumn, you can admire the fall foliage, and in winter, you can watch snowflakes fall on the trees, making it very romantic. In summer, the lush greenery is very healing. I'm already looking forward to summer and another visit! I did a lot of research before choosing this birthday guesthouse. Most guesthouses in the city center are located in Beijing's hutongs, which are small and cramped. They also lack character. Of course, I want to choose a guesthouse that I like, that is bright and clean, and comfortable for my birthday. Invite a few friends to stay in a small courtyard in the countryside near Beijing. In the evening, prepare some dishes and have a few drinks. Laugh and chat with your friends, and enjoy a slightly tipsy feeling. Sit on the soft sofa and chat or watch a movie you've been wanting to see in the warm light. During the day, sit on a lounge chair and listen to music, sunbathe, and watch birds chirping and flitting through the trees. Relax and enjoy the afternoon. The food is delicious. Also equipped with a fireplace, tea set, mahjong table, surround sound KTV with outdoor projector, and tennis court. Perfect for family gatherings, parent-child outings, and team building activities. Nearby attractions: Yajishan Tourist Scenic Area (said to be very effective for praying for wealth, academic success, and marriage); Shilinxia, Xiyushui Reservoir, Jingdong Grand Canyon, Jingdong Grand Cave, Tianyunshan Scenic Area, Jinhai Lake Scenic Area.
