The Magic of Hanbok in Seoul | A Hanbok Wedding with a Twist (Guide Included)
I chose to try on a hanbok near Banpo Bridge by the Han River in Seoul. The hanbok rental shop was very luxurious, like a treasure trove of traditional clothing. My male best friend (also a blogger) and I were on a business trip together, and the shop owner encouraged us to try on hanbok wedding outfits. The groom's and bride's hanbok were red and blue. The bride's hanbok was red, with exquisite embroidery that shimmered in the sunlight, and a long, flowing skirt. To be honest, the bride's updo was a bit aging. My male best friend changed into the blue groom's hanbok, with wide sleeves and a tall, elegant figure, like a gentleman from a historical Korean drama. The shop assistant enthusiastically helped us get dressed and styled our hair, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the charm of traditional clothing.
It was snowing heavily outside and very cold, so we decided to take photos inside the shop. But that wasn't enough! How could we miss out on the fun of cross-dressing? We suddenly had the idea to swap outfits. I put on the blue groom's hanbok, which was large but had a certain heroic spirit. My friend put on the red bride's hanbok, and his shy appearance made me laugh. We joked around and took photos in all sorts of funny poses, and the people around us were infected by our joy!
