Tahiti - Bora Bora, the best of the best islands.
Bora Bora: 3-4 days is recommended. You can fly directly from Papeete. The flight has open seating, so sit on the left side at the front for the best views (sit on the right side on the way back).
- Most luxury hotels are on the lagoon islands, and you need to take a hotel ferry to get to the main island. Some water activities offer hotel pier pick-up and drop-off.
- Snorkeling day tour: Usually 6 hours, you can join a group tour to 2-3 snorkeling spots, have lunch on a small island, and experience coconut processing and dyeing culture. If your hotel has its own snorkeling area (St. Regis), be sure to try it. It's free and beautiful.
- Pickup truck island tour: Group tours usually have 5-8 people per car, with pick-up and drop-off on the main island for over 3 hours. The tour mainly goes to several viewpoints that only trucks can reach, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of different lagoons in Bora Bora and learn about the formation of the lagoon volcano.
- Consider a day tour to Taha'a or Tupai, which is very rare.
- Other water activities such as diving, fishing, and whale watching are available, but not the best.
- Drone use: It's most convenient to use a drone on a chartered boat tour. The coral garden outside the natural aquarium in the south and outside the Conrad Hotel are the two best angles, with a height limit of 50 meters.

Culinary Escapades
A real version of "fishing" experience, the sharks here don't bite.
Nothing is more exciting than swimming with sharks and manta rays while on vacation in Bora Bora. The feeling of being surrounded by fish in the crystal clear shallows is so wonderful that you can't help but immerse yourself in it. There are so many manta rays here that they always surround tourists, seemingly seeking a gentle touch all the time. Interacting with manta rays is relatively simple, but sharks bring a completely different experience.
When I saw the shark swimming slowly towards me, I felt a little nervous. After all, they are always depicted in movies and books as ferocious and terrifying ocean predators. Will you be bitten by them? However, what surprised me was that the shark's little eyes were so dull that it made people smile. Where are the evil spirits, where are the bloody mouths? Local friends told me that the sharks here do not bite, so perhaps our fear of them is unnecessary.
Swimming in these warm waters are often lemon sharks and blacktip reef sharks (blacktips). They are not large in size, probably because of this, even if they want to attack humans, they have no choice but to give up. Rather than being hunters in the ocean, they are more like "pets" that have adapted to coexist harmoniously with humans.
This interaction with the shark was deeply meaningful to me. In the shallows, I was able to observe these scary-looking but rather cute creatures more closely. They are not a symbol of cruelty as people say, but are closer to a friendly part of nature. The experience of swimming with sharks made me reflect: Are our stereotypes of creatures so ingrained that we miss their true nature?
