Paradise Island 🏝️
Beautiful island with beautiful scenery worth every penny to visit and explore. The road to every spot was very adventurous but its very worth it. Its raining for awhile when we arrive at Broken Beach around half an hour and then we continue our journey. Their tour guide was very experienced and they take care of us. We were very amazed with the beautiful scenery of Nusa Penida Island. Definitely will come back in future. You have to come and visit this island once’s in a lifetime. #100waysoftravel

Wonders of West Nusa Penida
To get here, I booked a tour that has hotel transfer from Bali.
📍Kelingking Beach is famous for its unique rock formation that resembles the backbone of a T-Rex.
📍Angel's Billabong is a natural infinity pool facing the Indian ocean. Swimming is now prohibited.
📍Broken Beach is so named because a portion of the cliff has collapsed, creating a circular shape. Water flows through an arch that overlooks the sea, creating a circular bay.

Broken Beach 🏝️ Bali 🇮🇩
#balitrip
The name “Broken Beach” perfectly describes the appearance of this place. A circular hole has been carved in the cliffs of limestone over the centuries, creating a natural bridge connecting the inner bay to the open ocean. The view from the edge of the cliff is truly stunning, as you stare at the clear waters surrounded by high-rise cliffs, with the open ocean outside the natural bridge that complements the image.
It is a beautiful and dangerous place to visit and enjoy. Please don't stand near the edge of the cliff to take pictures. There’s always an unexpected big tide that you can’t expect to hit you even if you’re on top of the shelf. Safety first here
The turquoise waters of the broken beach are something to see. It’s quiet and attractive, making it a great place to take in the beauty of the coast while you feel a sense of tranquility. The rugged cliffs that surround the bay add to the dramatic atmosphere, creating a background that doesn’t resemble anything I’ve seen before.
Access to a broken beach can be a bit difficult due to rugged terrain and unequal paths. However, the journey is worth it for the amazing scene that awaits you. It is advisable to wear comfortable walking shoes and take your time to move on the road.
While swimming is not recommended due to strong currents, the sheer visual splendor of the broken beach makes up for more than the lack of opportunities to swim. Photographers and nature lovers will find themselves fascinated by breathtaking scenery, making it a paradise for those looking for perfect moments for the image.

Broken beach also known as Pantai Pasih Uug is located at western side of Nusa Penida island in Bali, Indonesia 🇮🇩
It is one of the most popular destination for tourists for it’s amazing and unique rock formations.
The incredible little cove on the middle of the cliff rocks & the blue water flows into the cove which offers the stunning views & breathtaking vibes 😎
The best time to visit to Broken Beach is from May to September(dry season). 🤗

West Coast Nusa Penida
There are several scenic geological formations on the Nusa Penida Island. The first few pictures are from Angel’s Billabong and the last few pictures are from Broken Beach.
These are one of the most beautiful rock formations I’ve seen, especially framed by the blueness of both of the water and the sky. This place is not for those that say “there’s nothing to do but look around”. This is perfect for someone that appreciates the beauty of nature in the form of geology.
#beach #island #bali #trip #tripblazers
Very beautiful views. No easy way to get down to the water though, it’s only a view of the water and natural bridge. It’s a popular tourist location and a bit crowded, still rating 5 stars because the view is awesome. Also, don’t bother with Angels Billabong, which is right nearby. It’s crowded and not that impressive. Also it’s a man-made thing that’s not that great.

Broken Beach: Stunning Natural Wonder!
Broken Beach, otherwise known as Pantai Pasih Uug, is a world-famous natural wonder in Nusa Penida, a smaller, rustic island 45 minutes away from the main island of Bali by fastboat. Broken Beach is also a short walk from Angel's Billabong.
The view is absolutely stunning and mind blowing. There is a hollow, circular hole in the cliff, with glimmering turquoise water flowing in from the sea. There is a tiny white sand beach, but do note there is no way down, so swimming is not possible. According to my guide, local legend has it that the gaping hole in the rock was created by either an angry sorcerer or a giant's footstep!
Tips for visiting Broken Beach:
1. Go early to avoid crowds.
2. Wear comfortable walking shoes as the paths are not steep and smooth (2nd last picture)
3. Walk a full circle around the beach! The views are different but stunning from every angle.
4. If you're lucky, you might spot some manta rays.
5. Get a private driver as the roads can be dangerous.
There is no entrance fee.

Getting to Paradise on Earth: Nusa Penida
#2023travelwish
Pristine beaches, cliffs and clear waters.. this paradise on earth is just 25km from the main Bali island! Nusa Penida is known for its instagrammable spots, manta rays, and treks. Here's a quick guide on getting to Nusa Penida from Bali:
Transport:
The only way to Nusa Penida is by fastboat. The journey will take 45 minutes each way, and boats depart from Sanur Harbour. There are various companies/timings, but a majority depart at 0730/0830 and return at 1530/1630.
Ticket Info & Cost:
IDR150.000 per person/one way. The price will vary if you book a tour package. Most travellers either book tickets through their drivers, or show up at the harbour and buy directly at the counters.
Tourist fee is IDR25.000 adults and IDR15.000 children.
Experience:
Sanur Harbour was opened this year, so it's comfortable. The fastboat ride was fine. However, arriving at Nusa Penida will require you to walk through sand/water up the beach. The island is rustic and underdeveloped, so the rides are bumpy, narrow and a bit dangerous. But, the sites and views were worth everything. Look at the pictures! You MUST see them in person.
Highlights:
Kelingking Beach (separate post), Crystal Bay, Broken Beach, Diamond Beach
2023 travel wish! Hoping to visit the Great Barrier Reef! Have never been there before and it looks amazing.

hole cliff beautiful place!!
this cliff with a hole looks beautiful from the distance, it was our last destination in nusa penida. when we heard the name broken beach, we didn’t think that much, but once we get there, it all starts to make sense to us.
it was sunny and the water is crystal clear, beautiful blue.
there are lots of tourists coming here, but still there are lots of spaces for people to walk around and take pictures.
unfortunately there was no shade, its really hot to walk around, we didn’t stay for too long. overall, the place is beautiful, and it doesn’t take too long to visit, it worth stopping by if you’re nearby.
there are also few shops and restaurants where you can grab food and fresh drinks. #passionpassport #staycation #gooutside #beach #vibes #bali #indonesia

Beautiful coastal formation in Nusa Penida!
#bucketlistreboot
Getting There - Easiest and quickest way to get here is by taking fast boat from Sanur Harbor in Bali and then by car or motorbike from Nusa Penida . It’s around 17km from Toya Pakeh Harbor of Nusa Penida where most of the fast boats arrive and depart. The roads could be patchy for non experienced scooter riders so unless you are good at it, renting a car is recommended.
Attractions - The whole area itself is connected and you can explore famous Angel Billabong and Manta Point together.
Hotels - There are not many options for lodging and accommodation nearby but you can find plenty of the close to the harbor.
Food & Restaurants - There are small warungs in the premises for drinks and quick meals like noodles. You might not be able to find variety of food options but there are options of drinks and ice cream to cool off in a hot day.
Broken beach is one of the wonderful coastal formation in southwestern region of Nusa Penida. It is popular for a massive archway which separates a small section of water body and allows water flow in and out of it. Nusa Penida has many such amazing formations and it is a must visit while in Bali.

BROKEN BEACH, NUSA PENIDA, BALI.🌊
A mesmerizing beach with unique formation. This beach looks like a lake that captured many eyes of the visitors. This beach is called broken beach because it is surrounded by cliffs and there is a hole on the cliff so the water
can pass through and then form a pool of water that look like a lake. Want great pictures for your Instagram? Come here and hunt your pictures.
Nusa Penida Tour Broken Beach is located in Banjar Sumpang, Bunga Mekar, Nusa Penida, Bali. You have to cross the ocean first to get to this beach. The route starts from Sanur beach and anchors at the port of Nusa Penida.

Broken Beach: Nature’s Perfect Archway to Paradise
#asiatrip
Broken Beach: A Natural Masterpiece on Nusa Penida
Broken Beach, or Pasih Uug, is one of the most stunning natural attractions on the island of Nusa Penida, Indonesia. Famous for its dramatic coastal cliffs and crystal-clear waters, this picturesque spot is a must-visit for travelers seeking a blend of raw natural beauty and tranquility.
The highlight of Broken Beach is its massive circular rock formation, which creates a natural archway over the ocean. The arch allows seawater to flow into a secluded bay, forming a serene turquoise lagoon encircled by towering cliffs. This unique geological feature, carved by centuries of erosion, offers a sight that feels almost otherworldly.
The area around Broken Beach is equally breathtaking. Standing on the cliffs, visitors are treated to sweeping views of the Indian Ocean, with waves crashing against the rugged coastline. The contrast between the lush green cliffs and the deep blue water is mesmerizing, especially on a sunny day.
Getting to Broken Beach involves a bumpy ride along rough roads, but the journey is part of the adventure. Once there, the peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to relax, take photographs, and appreciate the beauty of nature. Although swimming is not allowed in the lagoon due to the dangerous currents, the views alone are worth the visit.
Nearby attractions like Angel’s Billabong, a natural infinity pool, add to the appeal of this location, making it easy to spend a few hours exploring the area.
The lack of heavy commercialization around Broken Beach is a refreshing change, though basic amenities like small food stalls and rest areas are available.
Overall, Broken Beach is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Nusa Penida. Its stunning scenery and unique geological features make it an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and photographers alike.

Broken Beach
Broken Beach, also known by the locals as 'Pasih Uug,' is another popular beach destination in Bali, located on Nusa Penida Island. The unique feature of Broken Beach is its natural water basin formed by a curved bridge. Ocean water flows into this basin through an arch that extends out to the ocean. It is one of the best viewpoints on Nusa Penida Island.

One day trip to West Nusa Penisa
It’s better to go in the morning and need to take fast boat from Pantai Sanur to Nusa Penida about 1 hour 45 minutes. I take one day trip in west of Nusa Penida, it cost about IDR 500,000/person, the cost is cheaper if many people join. The trip is about 7-8 hours, it includes food and drink, transportation. Sightseeing in this trip is Broken Beach, Angels Billabong, Kelingking Beach, Crystal Bay, & Paluang Cliff #indonesiatrip

A suddenly photoshoot taken by my sisters at Broken Beach
#familytravel
#nusapenida
At Broken Beach in Bali, the dramatic landscape becomes the perfect backdrop for an awesome photoshoot. As the sun casts its golden glow over the towering cliffs and the natural arch framing the turquoise waters below, your sisters capture you in a candid moment. The rugged beauty of the sea crashing against the rocks behind you contrasts with the serene blue skies, creating a picture-perfect scene.
With the unexpected photoshoot, the spontaneity adds a sense of joy and authenticity to the moment. The wind in her red hair, the laughter echoing from the cliffs, and the raw beauty of Broken Beach make each shot a memory to treasure. It’s not just about the photos, but the photography experience with my sisters, capturing a slice of Bali’s stunning nature and the bonds that make the adventure unforgettable. I obviously come back in the near future.

Heavenly Fracture, Broken Beach: A Fantastic Spot on Nusa Penida, Bali, Indonesia, Resembling the Scottish Highlands
Broken Beach is a famous natural attraction on Nusa Penida, an island off Bali, Indonesia. It also has a more enchanting name, Heavenly Fracture.
This is a naturally formed sea arch, a natural wonder created by volcanic crust movements. Here, whenever the tidal waters surge under the stone arch and crash against the cliffs, the golden beach contrasts beautifully with the deep blue sea, creating a stunning and magical scene.
The viewing platform for the arch is located on the edge of a cliff, adorned with many cacti. This specific imagery of cacti, which seem to keep people at a distance, forms an interesting composition with the broken arch, creating a sense of elusive connection. Looking out towards the sea from the arch area, there are several landscapes resembling a low-budget version of the Scottish Highlands' Nest Point, with towering cliffs and green-covered, gracefully curved plains at the top.

Broken Beach Bali
#myhiddengems is Broken Beach Bali. Broken Beach is an incredible little cove on Nusa Penida island. The highlight of the cove and the reason it is called Broken Beach is due to the archway that wraps around the bay allowing water to flow in and out from the ocean. It’s a very easy spot to visit and right next to another famous attraction, Angel’s Billabong. Broken Beach is known as Pasih Uug in the local language.
Broken Beach is on the West Coast of Nusa Penida. The island is quite big and it can take over an hour to cruise from one side to another depending on where your accommodation is located. The roads are improving very quickly throughout Nusa Penida as tourist traffic increases but if you are a novice scooter driver this is gonna be an interesting journey for you! If you aren’t confident in driving, you can rent a car on Nusa Penida with private driver, which is a good option to visit multiple spots safely in a day with a group of friends.

Broken beach Bali
#indonesiatrip
It is most famous for the large naturally-made cove and perfectly arched rock formation that allows the waves to flow in and out of the ocean. 🌊
Broken Beach is such a unique spot that's rich in both history and natural beauty, so it's definitely one of the top things to do in Nusa Penida.
Ferries are available exclusively from Padangbai and take around 1 to 1.5 hours, with tickets priced around IDR 70,000 (about $5 USD). Upon arrival at Nusa Penida's Toyapakeh Port, continue your journey to Broken Beach by scooter, car, or taxi.🚖
