The only manor-style resort hotel in Singapore

The only manor-style resort hotel in Singapore I have a standard for choosing hotels, which is 'old building, new hotel'. An example is Capella Singapore. The hotel integrates the main building, a colonial-style building from the 1880s in Tanah Merah, with a new wing designed by renowned architect Sir Norman Foster. The white building is the old building from the last century, and the curved new building is connected to it. I truly admire the skills of the architect. Capella is located in Sentosa, the only resort area in Singapore. When we arrived at the hotel, my child exclaimed 'Wow' upon seeing a peacock, and one even spread its feathers for him. The happiness of children is so simple. My feeling about staying at Capella Singapore is like traveling through a historical time machine. The new and the old, the curves and the straight lines, even the East and the West, all collide intensely here, yet everything is so harmonious. I personally prefer the old building, which consists of two colonial-style buildings from the 1880s in Tanah Merah (Malay for 'Red Earth'). The extensive use of the most inclusive white color, paired with the reddish-brown roof, is particularly elegant. The second floor of this building is the Capella Living Room. All guests can enter, and there is afternoon tea every day. Another part of the old building I like is the corridor. The lattice doors and shutters instantly bring out the Nanyang style and a retro feel. The old building has a kind of magic, putting a leisurely atmosphere into ancient times and pulling people back to the past. The new building is relatively modern. All rooms except the villas are in the new building, ensuring comfort. The corridor has a different style, with the old building as one of its views. The pool faces the dense forest, giving a Bali-like feeling, but unfortunately, the weather was not good during my stay. Rooms Capella mainly has four types of rooms: guest rooms, suites, villas, and manors. For families with children, I recommend going straight for the villa. Out of 112 rooms, 38 are villas, while there are only 11 suites, so they are often sold at the same price. The large living room, large bedroom, and bathrooms are divided into indoor and outdoor areas, with a separate bathtub and shower outside. The highlight is a small pool (soaking pool), where my child had a great time just in the room. The welcome fruits and desserts were also very generous. Dining All-day dining restaurant Fiamma: Breakfast is a buffet + a la carte, with many outdoor seating options and a variety of local specialties. - Cassia Chinese Restaurant: Located in the main building, it has a heavy Chinese style and serves Cantonese cuisine. There is complimentary shuttle bus from Vivo city for all in house guests. The villa is huge and comes with private pool. All guests who are staying at Capella Hotel have access to a whole plethora of complimentary fun activities during their stay! These activities do change up depending on the season. We opted to join in the sustainable art and craft workshop, as well as the make your own bubble tea workshop. The bubble tea workshop is a must-try! The hotel provides all the ingredients, even the delicious tea that can only be bought from here. These value-added workshops really made our staycation here much more fulfilling and relaxing! Capella Hotel - Fiamma Restaurant

#mysgmemories The breakfast at the Fiamma restaurant was the highlight of my stay at Capella Singapore. There was a buffet spread in addition to ala carte items which you can order with the staff, and the options all look so appetising to me so I tried quite a few of them together, and it was one of the rare times where I felt that the hotel breakfast food made me feel hungry in the morning. There were also fresh juices which is something that is very rarely seen in a Singapore hotel breakfast. I tried the wanton soup, onsen eggs with kaya toast, prata with curry and also took some pastries from the buffet offerings. Everything that I ate there was wonderful and I had a very positive impression of this amazing breakfast. This is why I recommend Capella Singapore and hope to return and try their lovely breakfast again.

Capella Singapore is offers the perfect staycation experience for anyone looking for a relaxing and indulgent getaway. It’s colonial-style building that exudes elegance and sophistication. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed, with luxurious amenities and breathtaking views of the surrounding area including the sea. The beds are comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Had a rare experience to stay at their constellation room which overlooks the sea and has a nice and private jacuzzi in the balcony for a birthday stay. They also offered a nice cake and champagne to complete my stay! One of the standout features of Capella Singapore is its various infinity pool which is surrounded by lush greenery, creating a tranquil atmosphere. Their living room also offers afternoon tea and all day snacks, and they also have interesting resort experiences for you to occupy your day and create things like shower bombs. Overall, I highly recommend Capella Singapore for anyone looking for a luxurious and indulgent staycation. Free afternoon tea at Capella

All guests are entitled for free afternoon tea in Capella! We were back from a walk from the beach and were planning to take a buggy back to our villa, but we were invited to join their free afternoon tea session at the lounge despite having a big group of people. There were a total 10 of us including our guests and they still warmly welcome everyone to join! The atmosphere is very nice and chill, you can either choose the outdoor or indoor seats. The afternoon tea desserts are buffet style, you can choose whatever you like. All their pastry are very yummy and unique, especially the coconut cake!! And look at their plate, is so pretty!! They even served with a matching tea cups 😍😍 There are also many type of cookies for you to choose from, so nostalgic. There are free flow tea and coffee here, just tell them what you want and they will bring it to you! Bon appetite 😋

The most luxurious hotel with a private pool

It was my first time staying at Capalle and i was so mind blown. This hotel is so pretty and luxury! We booked a garden villa with a private too, the service is definalty at the top notch! We were welcome by the welcome deinks at the lobby and then was sent to our villa by the hotel buggy. We were so plesantly suprise by the welcome platter in our room! They kuih are so delicious and all their fruits are so fresh. There are also free flow drinks in the fridge. All non alcohol drinks are complimentary. This villa is so huge, i mean look at their toilet! It’s bigger than my room 😍 There is even a outdoor bathtub and outdoor rain shower. All the toiletries are from Aesop, the whole room smells so good! We also love the private pool in our room, the water is so clean and well maintained. We were so lucky to bump into a peacock 🦚 when we went for a walk! I’ll definitely come back again for other special occasion!

The hotel's design is a fusion of colonial and modern styles, which makes people fall in love with it at first glance. The panoramic sea view suite and the infinity pool surrounded by green plants all make the stay experience very enjoyable. Although we haven't left Singapore, we still have the illusion of being on vacation in Bali. The rooms of the hotel are basically built facing the sea, with a large space of more than 70 square meters, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling window design, so that you can enjoy the beautiful scenery when you wake up, especially when you open the curtains in the morning, it is really beautiful. The room we booked came with breakfast, and the dining area was right next to the pool with a great view. The most important thing is that there are many kinds of breakfast choices, such as Hong Kong-style dim sum, Western-style toast, there are also local laksa and curry buns. The portions of each are not large, but they are all exquisitely made and taste good. We spent an hour just eating breakfast and enjoyed it so much. #singapore #beachlife #summervacation

Equally mesmerising are the gardens of Capella, complete with winding paths and enchanted colonial architecture to admire. All guests have access to these gardens throughout the resort, even the little vegetable garden. We spotted a few interesting, colourful birds while taking a calming walk through these spaces. Guests staying at Capella Singapore can access the in-house spa located within the resort itself, which makes it convenient to just wear a bath robe down for treatment. After your spa, you can use the wet spa facilities such as the warm jacuzzi jet pool, the steam room, sauna and so on. It is possible to spend half a day just relaxing here! Hotel bath bomb workshop

As part of their service offerings at Capella Hotel, the team of staff run certain workshops that are mostly complimentary for all in-house guests to participate in. One of them we went for was this bath bomb workshop, where we learnt how to create our own bath bombs for use in our bath tub later! We could choose our preferred essential oil scents and colours to use, very interactive and super fun. Great for kids too. #celebratewithtrip address: 1 The Knolls, Sentosa Island, 098297 extremely luxurious resort like hotel. 5 star rating, or maybe 6 star. 1 of the activities done before I checked in the room was concocting my own mojito! they provided all the ingredients which includes blue pea syrup with their speciality 3 star rum. the blue pea syrup give the mojito an interesting pink color. taste and looks 💯💯💯surely you can pardon me for my biased rating for the mojito as I made the drink myself :p but really, enjoyed my stay at capella. it’s these little treats that elevated the hotel experience from the rest. :)

Lazy pool days

Of the many activities you could possibly do during a staycation at Capella Hotel, lazing by the pool, or rather three pools, is the most relaxing option! What I really like that sets it apart from other hotels in the city is that the pools are surrounded by lush greenery and nature, so you feel like you’re in a resort somewhere. If you want to do laps, head to the pool on the lowest level. Staff are on-hand and ready to offer towels and cold bottled water. When my husband and I checked in to Capella Hotel, we were blown away by the service and attention to detail by the staff. The reception area was designed like a really up-class and cosy living room, and we were brought two glasses of welcome drinks and wet towels upon arrival. Once we had our reservation confirmed, they handed us the most unique hotel keycards I’ve seen, red ones in cute little envelopes. Everything here is clearly well-thought and executed! hands down my favorite hotel in singapore. be it service or cleanliness or just making one feel they’re on vacation. anyone who wants a resort holiday without leaving singapore should visit capella. they provide activities like bubble tea making, cocktail making, aromatherapy classes as well before you check in and after you check out! it’s an excellent way to kill time if you don’t want to visit sentosa island or there for a staycation. all the staff are very friendly and accommodating. there are free light snacks and refreshments served as afternoon tea at the “living room”. who can forget the iconic library where trump and Kim met? also located in Capella. the room was clean and huge. comes with a plunge pool. would revisit if I want to pamper myself, definitely a luxurious hotel. #meetsingapore

Definitely my favourite hotel in Singapore! The location was perfect, very near to tanjong beach and can call hotel service to send you there. The service was 10/10, staff did all the checkin work while we sat in couch drinking their welcome mocktail.

Capella earthen art heritage

I love the various earthen ware that dons the surfaces in just about every corner. My favourite one has to be the traditional Chinese inspired bowl in The Living Room, the hotel’s club lounge of sorts. It is only for display and not for use, but it brought such character to the vibe of the space, which was really unique! Address - Capella Hotel, 1 The Knolls, Sentosa Island, Singapore 098297 One of the things that makes Capella Hotel so enchanting is the collection of art works that reside on the hotel grounds. Some of these art works are themed on the everyday beauty of things close to us. For instance, they pieced together a photograph wall of small daily snippets of things that can be found around the hotel, like the tail light of a buggy. There is also a massive metal sculpture right outside titled “Heart” as you can see the Chinese word “xin” when viewing this art work from an aerial view. Fascinating! Address - 1 The Knolls, Sentosa Island 098297 Ambiance/Facilities - Quiet, Serenity, Time to Unwind. Swimming pool, Gym. Highlights - Had a great experience with the counter while checking in. They served us drinks while waiting for our turn to check in. Provide children’s robe and bedroom slippers. My slippers broke and they actually gave me a pair of slippers while I was having breakfast in the restaurant. The room was clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed and I love the bathtub. Toiletries were provided and was Aesop brand. Avg. Price per Night - $1000+ Rating - I would give it 6 stars!!!

These were installed all the way back during the hotel’s construction phase. Ranging from big artworks to smaller photographs at every corner of the hotel, these art pieces really set the mood and atmosphere of the resort. It was nice getting surprised everywhere we turned to see intriguing and sometimes quirky modern art, definitely made our stay a more colourful one! Capella Staycay!

Capella’s service style is a cut above the rest. The staff who called us days before check in, the concierge, front desk, room service, bar and restaurant, pool deck crew and culturist team, they were all polite, attentive, engaging and fun. What made our stay unique from other staycations we had was the inclusion of activities like cocktail and boba making workshops as well as the Heritage and Art Tour. Other than that, we love the spacious room, the tranquility of the cascading pool and the wonderful buffet breakfast selection at the Knolls. Dinner at Cassia deserves a separate post hence do book a dinner reservation there as it was one of the highlights of our stay! We'll be back #staycation

I was here for a drink and decided to take a walk at this beautiful Capella swimming pool. I'm impress with how many swimming pool they have. 2 huge and 1 private pool. I love the ambience too. Cascading Emerald Pool 😍😍😍

Ever since I saw pictures of Capella’s infinity pool I am in love 🥰. First it’s cascading, I don’t recall seeing any other cascading pool in Singapore! It’s also my first time witnessing one. Plus I love how emerald the pool colour is, the colour is real by the way (because of the tiles). In this social media era, I was afraid the pool wasn’t actually this colour but I’m glad it is. Capella actually provides floats for you in the family friendly pool. I think it’s a very nice touch, because most hotels doesn’t allow that. Or even if they do, you might have to stop using once the pool gets crowded. Most importantly you don’t have to pump and do all the hard work to get the float up haha. They also have the main pool where most adults can be seen ordering drinks and chilling 🥂😎. And lastly the lap pool located right at the bottom, though the smallest of all. It’s really quiet and you get to have your “own” private pool hehe. #infinitypool #staycation

Infinity & Beyond at Capella

#infinitypool Capella Singapore Address: 1 The Knolls, Sentosa Island, 098297 How to book swimming pool timing: Great news! There is no need to book for swimming pool timeslots, just go as you wish, stay as long as you wish, For non-villa users, you will not have a pool in your room. But feel free to use all the 3 pools at Capella as you wish. The 3 pools are constructed in a way whereby it is cascading in a way it looks like there are 3 storeys. The highest pool is right outside The Knolls (renovating at the moment), great for adults. The middle pool is the action-packed pool whereby you can bring your swimming floats or use the floats provided by Capella. If you bring your own float, the pool staff will be happy to pump it up for you. The lowest pool will be a long and rectangular pool, great for lap swimming. Capella has an amazing emerald colored pool and the pool flooring is not even, so you can feel like you are stepping on rocks. If you are at Bob’s bar, you can get an overview of all the three pools with the sea as backdrop and straight into Bukom Island.

I call them the two stars hotel (reference to their logo) in Sentosa and it is stuck in everyone's minds. If you ask me what is between the sky and the sea, my answer is Capella. Let me bring you to a berry important point in Capella Singapore. You can bring your pets and there are no additional charges for them. You will just have to put them on leash when you are outdoors. Do let your Capella culturist know beforehand about your pets, so that a proper bed and pet food snacks can be arranged prior to your arrival. I tell you, Capella is all about customisation and they will even stitch on your pet’s name on the bed. If this is not the resort style kind of living, I do not know what is next. As you may have read about Capella’s private walkway to the beach from my other review, you will know that you can even bring your pet to the beach for a swim too. There is even a curated route for you to bring your pet on a hunt within its vicinity. At this point, if you still do not know, I will tell you. Yes, you can bring your pet to their spa for a fur-kid spa-cation. Oh yes! Your pet will also have their own hotel’s breakfast if you book their pet-cation else you can always pay on request. Capella Singapore is indeed the friendliest pet-friendly resort to enjoy, also the most romantic resort for couples and family friendly resort for everyone. There are many complimentary and paid activities for children such as bubble tea making, bath bomb making and dim sum cooking too. At this point of time, I believe I have written a bit too much. I could go on telling you about their living room and amazing pools. But I would rather you “Live your dreams, Take that Trip” and discover yourself.
