Beautiful View Of Chiang Mai @Doi Suthep
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Ratchaworawihan is a beautiful cultural icon of Chiang Mai. The temple grounds is very big and you'll need to climb a lot of stairs up to reach the top. But it's a nice climb as you'll be able to view the valleys and mountains of Chiang Mai at the observation deck. There were lots of people when we were here, both tourist and devotees, but the trip was well worth it if you're in Chiang Mai.

Golden Temple
Wat Phra Doi Suthep is a gorgeous golden temple located in Doi Inthanon National Park Chiang Mai.
It's really beautiful on a blue sky day as the golden architecture really shines in the sunlight. Guess you need to be lucky with the weather when you go.
I love the details here, with the fading paintwork, the intricate Buddha statues and the bells and gongs dotted around. It's quite a lively busy spot, so not ideal for worship but you can still find a quiet corner for serene contemplation if you look hard enough.
The surrounding area is really beautiful too with mountains and forests around

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep
#fallingforfall
The trip to Chiang Mai was the first overseas trip of many with my travel buddy. We went around end of the year which coincided the fall season in Chiang Mai Thailand. Thus, the weather was quite cooling as compared to what we imagined.
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep was one of the places we visited. Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is a Theravada Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. What was memorable about this place was that you had to climb many steps to reach the temple on top. It was very worthwhile to spend the efforts as the temple was magnificent.

Temples during Fall in Chiangmai
#fallingforfall - fall is also a great season when it comes to visiting temples located at the mountains area! One of my favourites would be the renowned Doi Suthep that’s even more beautiful at night but during the day you’ll be able to see many trees 🌳 and autumn 🍁 during this season.
There are also many hidden spots and temples around you’ll just need to ask the locals or explore on your own in Chiangmai!
It feels super peaceful when you’re able to visit these places of interest and perhaps have a prayer there or make a wish for yourself. if you’re lucky, you may even meet devotees who returns their prayers in forms of goodies to the temple where you’ll be given one as well!

Stairway to heaven
Doi Suthep is without doubt the most spectacular temple in Chiang Mai. An exhilarating 45 minute Scooter ride from the old city, it is worth it for the ride alone with its many twists and turns whilst climbing the mountain on your way up to the temple. Next you will be faced with the choice of an elevator ride or a 309 step climb up the never ending staircase to the summit of the mountain and the location of the temple itself. You will not be disappointed which ever way you get up there. With its golden chedi, jade Buddah statue and the chanting monks the is plenty to experience and did I mention the views over the city? We visited here for sunset which gives another dimension to what is already an amazing experience. You won't be disappointed!!

The full name of this temple Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. It’s the the most famous and main temple of Chiang Mai. This temple is located on the very tall mountain and from city centre you need around 40 minutes by taxi to get there. After you get there you need to walk more then 300 steps to the main building of the temple. From the back of the temple you can see amazing view of the city. Better to go there in the evening, view is much much better. #thailand

Chiang Mai Artisan Sourdough Bakeries
1. Nana Jungle Bakery: Located in a bamboo forest at the foot of Doi Suthep, this bakery is run by a French couple and specializes in French bread. Every Saturday morning, a very popular bread market is held here, attracting many locals and tourists. The bread is priced at about 20-30 baht each, with a wide variety, including croissants, baguettes, and more. Due to its popularity, it is recommended to go early in the morning to get a number and buy bread in order.
2. Forest Bake: This is a cozy family bakery hidden in the forest, offering freshly baked bread and desserts. The interior is naturally cozy, and the food is made with fresh ingredients, mostly from organic produce. The owner, Nalinna, and her family are all bakers, offering traditional Scottish and Chiang Mai-style baked goods.
3. Khagee: Located opposite the Mae Ping River, Khagee offers a variety of breads and desserts, including canelés. The environment here is comfortable, perfect for slowly enjoying the food.
These bakeries not only offer delicious artisan sourdough bread, but also other types of bread and desserts, making them a must-try food experience in Chiang Mai.

Doi Suthep National Park: big journey
Doi Suthep National Park, located near Chiang Mai, is a breathtaking blend of lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and cultural landmarks. My visit began with a hike through its serene trails, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the scent of fresh mountain air. The park’s crown jewel, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, perched atop the mountain, offers stunning views of Chiang Mai and a tranquil atmosphere for reflection.
I was particularly enchanted by the cool climate and the vibrant greenery that felt like a retreat from the bustling city below. Visiting Huay Kaew Waterfall and exploring the dense forests added a sense of adventure to the trip.

Pa lat, the mantra temple in Chiangmai
"Pa lat" temple is on doi Suthep inside the Chaingmai city.
This temple is very mantra. It seems cool and old building in the same time. There is no record about what time the temple was built. Some people say that the word "palat" is from palert means people who was walking, they fell down. People who walk here fell down a lot. So they called this temple "Pa lat"
Inside the temple is full of quiet and there are a lots of tree. Also, there is a waterfall in the middle of the temple. And you can see the view of Chiangmai town from this temple.
You can drive a car to this temple or you can walk here, it takes about 1 hour from the bottom to go to this temple. It was fun to do it too

Hiking is a must-do in Chiang Mai.
The Inthanon Mountains on the west side of Chiang Mai are an extension of the Himalayas. The highest peak, Doi Pui, is 1,685 meters above sea level, and the temperature difference between the peak and the foot of the mountain is huge, making it a summer resort in Chiang Mai and even Thailand.
From the road in front of Chiang Mai University, go up past the Chiang Mai Zoo, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, and Bhubing Palace, and then continue up the mountain.
The top of Doi Pui can only be reached on foot, and it is more than 2 km from the parking lot. After walking a long section of flat gravel road, you have to climb a short dirt road. It hasn't rained heavily recently, so the road is relatively easy to walk. The road is very narrow, only wide enough for one person to pass. The ancient trees are dense, and I was the only one looking for the way, which was a little scary in the silence.
The highest point on the top of the mountain is a wooden sign with Thai, English, and Chinese characters. You can go down the mountain from the other side of the trail, which is narrow and hidden, with wooden signs indicating the remaining distance at intervals. I walked carefully all the way, but there are small rest platforms that provide information about tree species, and there are always birds chirping. This is also an excellent bird-watching route.
After walking through the entire Doi Pui National Park and taking a quick tour of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, I went down the mountain. Passing by Chiang Mai University, I ordered a salad and bread at a coffee shop by the lake, plus a cup of hot Americano, and ate to my heart's content.
Chiang Mai is like this, half nature, half human.
