Grand Hyatt Kunming Deluxe Suite The hardware, software, and location of this top-tier Kunming hotel are impeccable. Its amenities also follow my favorite city hotel model, with a direct walkway to Parc Central without leaving the hotel. Since it currently has no rivals in Kunming, its pricing can't be described as worthwhile, especially the inflated suite prices. The large bottles of Balmain toiletries aren't as good as the Diptyque ones at InterContinental hotels. The suites have Dyson hair dryers, while standard rooms seem to have regular hair dryers and may not even have electric toilets (how stingy!). The welcome fruit was a very disappointing small bunch of red grapes. The lounge appears to have limited options, but all the essential categories are there, and the food quality and presentation are quite good, especially the desserts, which are not at all perfunctory. I didn't wake up in time for breakfast and haven't tried the restaurant. The bar has a great atmosphere and attracts many non-hotel guests, but the offerings are average, neither tasty nor delicious.

The furniture in the room resembles Yunnan stilt houses and uses smart controls. When you enter the room, the blackout curtains automatically rise, and there are special curtains with adjustable gears. Toiletries are BALMAIN. The dining options are excellent, with 4 restaurants and 1 bar. The prices break the stereotype of five-star hotel dining and offer great value for money. The all-day dining restaurant, Shuo Ting, offers a wide variety of breakfast options, including Cantonese dim sum and freshly cooked noodles.
