👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 We took the kids to Hong Kong and stayed in Shenzhen for a few days. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen, and it was an amazing experience. I just had to share it with you all. - The hotel is in a great location 👍 It's a 1-minute walk from the MixC, so you can shop, eat, and have fun all in one place. There are also many attractions nearby, such as Luohu Railway Station and Shenzhen Book City. The best part is that it's in a bustling area, but it's still quiet and peaceful. The environment is amazing. - 🛏 We stayed in a 65-square-meter Ultraman-themed family suite. The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. The bedding was amazing, and we had a great night's sleep. The room layout was unique, with the bathroom not in the middle, a separate toilet with an electric lid, and blackout curtains. You can sleep in during the day without any problems. The branded toiletries were great and smelled amazing. The hotel was also very thoughtful and prepared a welcome fruit platter 🍇. The little canvas tent was my child's favorite Ultraman, and they were so happy. - 💖 The hotel service was excellent. Every staff member was polite and attentive. They contacted me a few hours in advance and remembered my preferences clearly. They also asked about my needs and arranged everything perfectly. When we changed rooms, they patiently remembered my habits. It was very thoughtful. - 🏊 The hotel pool was also great. You can still swim in Shenzhen in this weather. The water temperature was 28 degrees, and there were few people and good water quality. As a northerner, I found it very novel. One is, Grand Hyatt Shenzhen 🏨 was built pretty much during the rise of Shenzhen as an important economic city 🌆 of China which has given birth to the modernism that we see in this amazing 🤩 city today. Second reason is, of all my hotel stays 🛏️ this is where I've stayed the longest, over multiple times. And every time it was a great pleasure. | Stay here for a family trip to Shenzhen. We took the high-speed train from Wuhan to Shenzhen with two adults and two kids. We stayed for three days. This was our second time visiting, and this time was different because we brought the kids. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen, which was a great experience. 💯 - ✅ Great family-themed rooms We stayed in a Chibi Maruko-chan themed room with our 4-year-old daughter. The 60-square-meter Grand Deluxe Room had a tent and Chibi Maruko-chan bed sheets, which our daughter loved. The hotel front desk is on the 33rd floor. The lobby is very high-end, and the laundry service is great. You can get your clothes washed in just two hours. The hotel also has a gym, restaurant, coffee bar, and more. The facilities are very complete. - ✅ Great location The hotel is just a 10-minute drive from Luohu Port and Shenzhen Railway Station. It's also close to Grand Theater Station on Lines 1 and 2 and Ludancun Station on Line 9. The hotel is directly connected to The MixC, and KKMall is about a 10-minute walk away. There are plenty of shopping and dining options, and it's very convenient to get around. 👍 - ✅ Environment and facilities The building combines modern luxury with traditional culture. The transparent glass curtain wall at the top looks like a gorgeous lantern at night. It's very beautiful. The pool and gym are on the same floor. The outdoor heated pool overlooks the Shenzhen River, so you can swim in winter. The sky bar is great for a drink at night, and all eight restaurants have a great reputation. - ✅ Thoughtful service The hotel service was very satisfying! The staff were all friendly and polite, and the service was efficient. You can check out at the lobby on the 33rd floor, and you can store your luggage at the lobby on the 1st floor. During our stay, the staff contacted us and remembered our preferences and needs. I have to give them a thumbs up. 👍 The cleaning staff in the hallway asked if we needed new towels, and the breakfast at The Show Kitchen on the 32nd floor was delicious. They even had cute kids' tableware, which the kids loved. - We had a great stay at the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen. The location, facilities, and service were all great. This is a great choice for a family trip. We'll stay here again next time we visit Shenzhen. 😉

This Christmas, I finally got to stay at the much-anticipated Grand Hyatt Shenzhen. I was upgraded to a 90-square-meter one-bedroom apartment with a city view. There was also a Nespresso coffee machine and TWG tea bags, making for a good morning 🤗 It's worth noting that due to traffic congestion in Shenzhen during peak hours, it's better to take the subway. The hotel is connected to the MixC shopping mall, and you can get off at the Grand Theater Station. The hotel lobby is only for luggage storage, and the front desk is on the 33rd floor. You need to go to the 33rd floor to check in before heading to your room floor. The gym and swimming pool are on the 3rd floor, and the restaurant is on the 32nd floor. The Grand Hyatt Shenzhen opened in 2009, and it has been 14 years since then. It is a well-known old hotel in China. When it comes to old hotels, there will inevitably be the argument of "staying in new hotels instead of old ones", and there will be ridicule of the decoration of old-fashioned hotels, such as "old man's taste" and "father's aesthetic". But as far as the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen I stayed in is concerned, it seems to have the charm of some old Japanese hotels. "Old in appearance but not in heart" is my overall impression of it. The hotel decoration is undoubtedly outdated, but the new TOTO, solid and warm bathroom hardware, does not give people a decadent impression in terms of hardware. In addition, the neat and meticulous bed-making skills also show that the hotel's customer service department is indeed in place. I don't know if all the rooms in the hotel are like this, but the double room I stayed in at the corner does have a feeling that even the air is clean, thanks to the clean glass of the building, and it feels like a Japanese hotel. The hotel is very close to the Luohu Port, and you can see the Luohu landmarks Kingkey 100 and Diwang Building in the room. Luohu should be considered an old area of Shenzhen, with many places for eating, drinking and playing. If this hotel is within a thousand yuan, it is still worth experiencing.

Shenzhen Grand Hyatt, worthy of the name "Grand". Many reviews say that the Grand Hyatt is old since it was built in 2009, but there are no signs of aging in either the guest rooms or the lobby. Because many of the rooms are occupied by Globalist members who check out at 4pm, I arrived at 1pm and they kindly gave me a room card to go swimming and have afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was quite average! Maybe there are more business guests, and not many people use the afternoon tea, so it's a bit casual. The first three pictures are of the suite upgraded with a goh coupon. The entrance and door of the room are decorated with a lot of mahogany, which is very textured. The layout was strange at first, but I thought it was great later. Because the entrance to the bathroom can be accessed by other visitors, but the door to the bathroom on the other side of the bedroom can be closed, which protects privacy. There are also two doors between the bedroom and the living room that can be closed, so it is easy to achieve complete darkness for sleep in the room (without turning off the lights in the living room). And after closing the door, the sense of tranquility will be stronger, it is the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. Dinner in the lounge is of average standard, all self-service, with mango pomelo sago and freshly cooked noodles. The red wine actually has a domestic boutique Silver Heights! The correct way to open it is to have enough wine with cold dishes and hot dishes, then eat a bowl of hot soup noodles, take some chili sauce to wake up, and then have a mango pomelo sago and a cup of hot black tea at the end. Would love to return to enjoy a comfy escape with convenient shopping malls around and numerous impressive restaurants. Easily accessible by public transport and well connected with various shops and places, which enhances tourists’ experience.

The most famous feature of this hotel is probably the sightseeing elevator, offering a view of Shenzhen Bay's skyscrapers springing up like bamboo shoots after a rain. The hotel was generous enough to upgrade us to a suite, but the executive lounge felt a bit sparse. The view from the room is excellent, with a clear sight of Tencent Building and an overview of the entire Shenzhen Bay. Almost instant acceptance of the booking, is this the legendary Shenzhen speed?

1. It is said that going to the Grand Hyatt was considered the highest courtesy in Shenzhen at that time, and although it was the business aesthetic of that era, the unique and elegant details and thoughtful service made it stand out from the commonplace, still excelling. 2. The location is above the MixC in Luohu, a very central area, convenient for travel and shopping. 3. The lobby is on the 33rd floor, featuring Hyatt's consistent 'above the clouds' characteristic, with a three-story atrium and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Luohu, instantly calming any restless emotions. 4. The room has a 'return' shaped structure, with the 'mouth' character in the middle being the bathtub and shower room. The dark red wooden walls and sliding window frames exude a stable and luxurious Oriental heritage, like a fine wooden gift box, inside which are warm lights, brown and yellow striped carpets, orange silky leather bed backs, and orange corduroy sofas, offering a safe and comfortable private residence experience. 5. There is an automatic toilet, and a mini bar at the entrance, but no coffee machine. 6. The toiletries are Balmain, with a scent similar to fig wood, a gentle, rich yet fresh milky fragrance, which directly inspired me to go buy the same product lol 7. Another highlight of the Shenzhen Grand Hyatt is the gourmet food, with very high-quality restaurants, including the hotel's own buffet at The Market and Lounge, as well as 1881, Yihe Garden, Chairman's Building Cantonese cuisine, The Steakhouse, and Sugar Cube. This time I chose 1881 and had their signature Peking duck, which is freshly roasted and very fresh, with the chef slicing it right in front of you, fragrant and crispy, with the skin's heat and softness just right, a pity that you can't get a refill. The next morning I had the buffet at The Market, which was very diverse, especially the Chinese options, and I had their seafood congee with oysters, fish slices, and octopus, which was very tender, and tasted amazing with olive vegetables. The bakery's strawberry Danish and muffins were also delicious. 8. The hotel staff are always warmly smiling and greeting you, very considerate. 9. Will come again!

This time I stayed in the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen's twin-bed guest room, which cost 1600 RMB (about 1700 HKD). I personally really like the macarons and chocolate crisps from the Grand Hyatt, which are not too sweet.
