Located in the most strategic location in Kuantan and next to most happening and tourist spot of Teluk Chempedak beach. The beach are clean and safe. Suitable for family and couple who wish to have relaxing yet to far from town. The hotel was refurbished a years back and look decent and well maintained. My family and I enjoyed the stunning views and relaxed by the beach. The famous Teluk Cempedak is just next to the hotel. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as swimming, surfing, and beach volleyball. We like to take a stroll along the beach and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Don't forget to visit the beautiful beachfront Starbucks. Local attractions include Kuantan 188 Tower, where you can enjoy the panaromic view of the city and Kuantan River, and also the beautiful Sultan Ahmad Shah State Mosque. It is a must-visit for anyone interested in Islamic architecture. The mosque has a stunning design and is a peaceful place to visit. There are also other must visit attractions such as Dinosaur Encounter Park and Mini Zoo, and Chinese Taosim Temple. Every morning, I love to take a relaxing stroll on the beach, seeing the boats and listening to the sound of waves. All the staff were so friendly and always had a smile. I also like the delicious breakfast buffet with traditional local kuih muih nicely presented on woven baskets. It brought back my childhood memories. My grandma is Nyonya, and she always made delicious snacks for us. The famous glass ceiling Starbuck is just within 2 minutes walking distance. Great to grab a cup of coffee and have a cozy afternoon. Or had a McDonald ice cream next door. This is one of the perfect place to be! I love the place so much especially because of the beautiful sceneries. Got access to the Teluk Cempedak Beach. Relaxing gateway by the beach!

This hotel is Truly Amazing. Newly refurbished rooms, reception, lobby & pool. Two pool with in pool bar another one The Sampan that serve 50% off for drinks at 3-5pm ( if the promo still available) I love the location at Teluk Cempedak with so many eateries (a lot of fast food restaurants or Loteng Cafe) and easy access for beach activities by walking. No regrets Still Hyatt Kuantan is one of the best resort.

Shoot for the moon in the night sky

The privacy and view are few of the reasons for me to book a room here. The view of Kuantan beach from the hotel is very eye soothing especially during the night. The night sky brings peace to the heart and you can see how beautiful the moon is glowing brightly in the night skies even without the appearance of the stars. In case if you are hungry in the during the night, the Hyatt Regency Hotel located is just a walk away from the Teluk Cempedak night market, KFC and Starbucks. I really love the washroom in my room as it has a very huge mirror, bath tub, quite spacious and the gold white theme of the washroom make it looks more luxurious with a hint of orange in it.

It was a very wonderful and relaxing trip for me and my small family and we love this hotel so much due to the beach that is so beautiful, crystal clear water ,easy access and serenade. Located on the stunning beachfront of Teluk Cempedak whic is within the proximity to Kuantan city, capital of Pahang. Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort is the perfect place for making meaningful memories that last a lifetime. For the room it is spacious and we had choosen the one facing the ocean, so that we can see the sunrise and set through out our window with the spectacular panoramic. The hotel is so beautiful situated on a beautiful stretch of white sandy beach. Morning is the best, where we can enjoy breakfast, where the dining is facing the beach, and make sure you come earlier for the breakfast in order to enjoy the beautiful sunrise! the dining starting from 6.30 am till 10.30 am. This hotel and destination is perfect for a single traveler who just want to rest and relax and also for family whereby kids will love the pool and having fun at the beautiful white sandy beach. Food wise if you don’t want to order from the hotel cafe, you can opt for food from other places. Just a short walk next door to KFC, McD , Starbucks or other local food. We are truely appriciate the outstanding customer service that Hyatt’s staff have been very attentive and helpful. Their kind gesture and hospitality has always been beyond satisfaction. I personally have a special request for my anniversary and its was so happy when they had gave me a special cake for that. I truly feel like a guest and not just a regular customer so hats off to your team. So Overall, we simply love this beach front hotel because it is accomodative with a friendly staffs, nice comfortable room, beautiful sea view and lovely breakfast spread facing the sea. this is genuinely one of my favourite hotel for a short staycation. suitable for everyone ranging from solo traveller, to couples & even a big family. i love how minimalist the design of the hotel is after its refurbishment. everything about this hotel is just amazing. pros : it is literally located at the pantai teluk cempedak. it is very convenient as it is a walking distance to the famous ‘glasshouse’ starbucks & a night market for you to walk around. the beach is very well taken care of. there are 2 swimming pools, which makes it less crowded for you to swim. & a plus point for the minimal design of the hotel ofcourse. cons : quite far to walk from lobby to the room, but its not a problem as you can walk while witnessing the view. the parking is quite a hassle. if the parking is full, you will need to park your car at the other side (which is quite a walking distance). #beaches

Although my trip was quite a mess and not worth emulating, dragging on for over six hours by bus from Malacca to Kuantan, the Hyatt Regency located in the depths of the seaside town of Kuantan is still worth the visit. This resort hotel facing the South China Sea has a similar history to the Hyatt in Bali. It started operating as early as the 1980s and has been around for nearly half a century, making it a well-established brand. It was only renovated in recent years, so the overall quality of both hardware and software is still quite good. The hotel is situated on a beach within a nature reserve where monkeys are often seen. Though secluded, it is not isolated, being about a 15-minute drive from downtown Kuantan. It is also a local leisure and vacation spot with well-developed surrounding facilities and numerous eateries. The main building faces east, allowing guests to witness magnificent sunrises daily. The beach quality is average, and the natural environment is not exceptionally beautiful, but the resort atmosphere is definitely present. The clientele mainly consists of local Malaysian and Western families with children, making it lively at all times. There are two outdoor pools: a shallow one that becomes a playground for kids and a deeper one perfect for swimming before dusk. The hotel is extremely friendly to global guests, and due to the rarity of East Asian faces, one feels quite noticed. Upgrading to the top-floor suite offers a spacious and unobstructed secondary sea view. The welcome fruit platter is abundant, along with a box of chocolates. Breakfast includes a special greeting from the manager and a member-exclusive quail egg with truffle sauce. The Regency Club is located in a very secluded corner, with no view to enjoy, but it is open all day. There are adorable wild cats roaming the outdoor lawn, and the evening happy hour can serve as a light meal, enough to fill you up. Additional facilities include a fitness center and a tennis court. In summary, falling asleep to the sound of waves every night is especially suitable for relaxation and unwinding. Such a high-value niche resort hotel is worth experiencing. tips 1: The best plan is to book early. Early bird tickets for a round trip from Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan are only about 200, but booking last minute will cost several times more. The more economical option is to take a four to five-hour bus ride one way. tips 2: If time permits, you can continue along the coastline northwest to Terengganu and other places. Along the way, there are marine reserves where you can see turtles laying eggs, participate in turtle releases, and watch fireflies, among other family activities.
