In the heart of Milan, my journey through Duomo di Milano was a captivating blend of history, art, and breathtaking views. As I ascended the stairs to the terraces, the cityscape unfolded beneath me, a modern metropolis juxtaposed against the timeless beauty of the cathedral’s spires.
The sculptures adorning the exterior told tales of craftsmanship and dedication. Each intricately carved figure seemed to breathe life into the stone, whispering stories of the artisans who had left their mark over the centuries. It was a tangible connection to the past, a living testament to the city’s rich history.
Reaching the terraces, the panoramic view was nothing short of enchanting. Milan stretched out in all directions, a vibrant canvas of life and culture. The juxtaposition of ancient architecture against the backdrop of a modern cityscape created a visual symphony that left me in awe.
Inside the cathedral, the play of sunlight through stained glass bathed the space in a kaleidoscope of colors. The air was filled with a sense of reverence as I wandered through the vast interior, marveling at the intricate details of the chapels and the soaring arches above.
Duomo di Milano was not merely a structure; it was an immersive experience that transcended time. Each step carried me through centuries of history. imagine they spent over 6 centuries to hike it 😍🙀😻. Each glance revealed the artistry of those who had contributed to its creation. It was a day where the beauty of the view, the allure of the sculptures, and the richness of history converged, creating a memory etched in the tapestry of my travels.
I definitely recommend to buy a tickets together with roof visit, because it contains the most of that beauty, which I explained above! Enjoy it! :)

The Stunning Milan Cathedral (Duomo Di Milano)
#wecreate
The Milan cathedral or most widely known as the Duomo di Milano in Milan, Italy, is absolutely stunning and worth the time to visit. This cathedral is one of the largest in Milan and one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. It shows great attention to details as it's architectural design is just pure genius and it takes centuries to complete building it. You can't help but stand in awe on this holy ground as I admire the fine arts and beauty in this place of worship. You can also climb up flights of stairs to the top of Duomo di milano and you can get an even upclose view to the statues on the sides of this cathedral, at the top. Be it day or night, the Milan cathedral is beautiful as it is and every angle of it looks incredible. I highly recommend everyone to come here.

Step into the heart of Italian fashion and say hello to Milan.

Milan Cathedral is the largest Gothic building in the world and the second largest cathedral in the world.
As soon as you come out of the subway, you can see the cathedral. At first glance, you will feel that the pattern of the cathedral is extremely complicated, but upon closer inspection, there are many sculptures on it. Later, I learned that the Milan Cathedral is the building with the most sculptures in the world. At first, you may feel that these sculptures are really overwhelming, but after getting used to it, there is also a kind of beauty in the complexity.

Rooftop access pass highly recommended.
The focal point of the entire city, Duomo di Milano, is Italy’s largest church designed during the zenith of Gothic architecture. With more than 3,000 statues spread over the cathedral, its rooftop and baptistery; the Milan Duomo is a must-visit site on any trip to Milan.
Since the cathedral took over several hundred years to be built, there are a number of contrasting styles for you to see. With traces of Romanticism, Gothic, Gothic Revival, ‘Perpendicular with Flamboyant.
You can even see one of the nails from the Crucifixion of Christ placed in a dome! Other highlights in the Milan include the 225-rank pipe-organ, Saint Bartholomew Flayed statue, Archbishop Alberto da Intimiano’s sarcophagus and the ‘Medeghino’ monument by Leone Leoni.

II Duomo (Milan Cathedral)
The massive Cathedral of Santa Maria Nascente, which the Milanese call just "Il Duomo" is among the world's largest (it holds up to 40,000 people) and most magnificent churches, the ultimate example of the Flamboyant Gothic style. It was begun in the 14th century, but its façade was not completed until the early 1800s, under Napoleon.
The roof is topped by 135 delicately carved stone pinnacles and the exterior is decorated with 2,245 marble statues. The dim interior, in striking contrast to the brilliant and richly patterned exterior, makes a powerful impression with its 52 gigantic pillars. The stained-glass windows in the nave (mostly 15th-16th centuries) are the largest in the world; the earliest of them are in the south aisle.#tripblazers#urbanexplorer#awesomepic#milancathedral

One afternoon in Milan 🇮🇹
An essential to visit in Milan is the so called Duomo di Milano, you can also visit the inside and get to the top of it to see the views. So amazing!
Right next to the Duomo there is the famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, which consists of luxury shops and several restaurants. A good place to spend the afternoon.
If you travel to Italy another must is to try some pasta, we opt for having dinner in a restaurant near the center. Spaghetti bolognese and carbonara, super top and good prices there!

Gothic Style Cathedral
Milan Cathedral, called Duomo di Milano in Italian, is a vast Gothic-style cathedral, located in the heart of Milan. It is 515 ft (157 metres) long and 302 ft (92 m) wide. It can house up to 40.000 people. Il Duomo di Milano is one of the largest Catholic churches in the world.
