Penglai tourist attractions
- Penglai Pavilion: It is a complex of temples, halls, pavilions, and kiosks, including the Sanqing Hall, Lvzu Hall, Su Gong Temple, Tianhou Palace, Dragon King Palace, Penglai Pavilion, and Amitabha Temple. Penglai is located by the mountains and the sea, and is known as the "Famous Land of Mountains and Seas" for its beautiful scenery. It is located on Danya Mountain in the north of Penglai City, and is one of the four famous pavilions in China, along with Yellow Crane Tower, Yueyang Tower, and Tengwang Pavilion.
- Sanxianshan: Located at No. 9 Haibin Road, Penglai City, Shandong Province, it is located by the sea in Mozhikou Village, a famous national fishing village, and is adjacent to the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea Scenic Area and Penglai Pavilion, one of the four famous pavilions. In the ninth year of the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, a water city was built on the site of the original Daoyu Village, with a total area of 270,000 square meters, in the shape of an irregular rectangle, wide in the south and narrow in the north. It is located by the mountains and the sea, with a dangerous terrain. The harbor and coastal defense buildings, such as the water gate, breakwater, wave platform, wharf, lighthouse, city wall, enemy platform, battery, and moat, are well preserved, and it is the most complete ancient naval base in China. In 1982, the water city and Penglai Pavilion were announced by the State Council as national key cultural relics protection units.
Tickets and other information
- Penglai Pavilion tickets: CNY 100 for adults, half price for students, free for seniors over 60, and free for local talent card holders. Sometimes, everyone can enter for free during events.
- Transportation: It is far from the city, so please plan your time accordingly.
- Accommodation: If you have enough time, it is not recommended to stay overnight. However, the castle in the movie "Hello Mr. Billionaire" is located in Penglai, but the price is unknown.
- Penglai Polar Ocean World Park: There are 12 themed pavilions, where you can see many precious marine creatures. In addition to marine creatures, there is also a science museum, which is worth visiting.
