Shanghai's "No. 1 Garden for Autumn Viewing" is trending.
The name Qiuxia Garden comes from the line "Falling sunset and lone birds fly together, autumn waters and the long sky are the same color" in Wang Bo's Preface to the Prince Teng Pavilion, expressing the original owner's wish to "never give up on their ambitions." The garden is a classical garden with a unique style, located south of Jiading's East Street and north of Qiliang Road. It is divided into four scenic areas: Peach Blossom Pool (formerly Gong's Garden), Ningxia Pavilion (formerly Shen's Garden), Qingjing Pond (formerly Jin's Garden), and the City God Temple. The layout is exquisite, and the environment is elegant.
The layout is exquisite, the environment is elegant, and the garden is small and delicate. There are pavilions, winding paths, and lush bamboo forests. There are also low railings, plank bridges, water and trees reflecting each other, and strange caves in the rockery. It is a garden within a garden, a forest within a forest, and a scene outside a scene, with a view at every step.

Discover Shanghai | A day trip to Shanghai, to see the red leaves and gardens of Qiuxiapu
Qiuxiapu exceeded my expectations, truly worthy of being one of Shanghai's five major gardens. As soon as you enter the main gate, you will see the main hall of Jiading Chenghuang Temple. The main hall, built in the Ming Dynasty, is a double-eave hip roof building, with golden bricks on the ground, surrounded by ancient cypress and stone carvings, and the sense of history is overwhelming. Then you can enter the winding path from both sides of the Chenghuang Temple to reach the garden part of Qiuxiapu. There is a map on the back of the ticket for reference (see Figure 16).
-
【Main attractions and photo spots】
① Chenghuang Temple Main Hall
Smoky, towering ancient cypress, flying eaves and dougong, wood carvings and stone carvings.
② Peach Blossom Pond Reflection and Ginkgo
The reflections here are very photogenic, whether it's trees or buildings. There is also an ancient ginkgo on the rockery next to it, the leaves have completely turned yellow.
③ Qingjing Pond Red Leaves
Around the pond are the famous red leaves of Qiuxiapu. The red leaves photographed in the soft light of morning or evening are more beautiful.
④ Bi Lu Xuan and Shu Yu Zhai Leaky Window
Looking out from the leaky window, there are bamboo, rockery, etc., which is also a major feature of classical garden design. The so-called 'bamboo brings autumn scenery to the small window'.
⑤ Flower shadows, bamboo shadows, tree shadows, beautiful shadows
Chen Congzhou's 'Garden Taste · Talking about Shadows': Chinese garden landscapes are both virtual and real, and the beauty of the virtual is often more moving than the real. 'Flower shadows press heavy curtains' 'Clouds break and the moon comes to play with flower shadows'.

【About Qiuxiapu】
It is a municipal cultural relic protection unit in Shanghai. It was established in the 15th year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty (1502). The main part was originally the private garden of Gong Hong, the Minister of Works in the Ming Dynasty. There are pavilions, towers, gardens, winding paths, lush bamboo, low fences, and rockery caves in the garden. There are 48 scenic spots in total. The layout is compact and wins by cleverness. Although some buildings no longer exist, you can still see the ingenious conception of the entire garden. The current Qiuxiapu is a combination of Gong's Garden, Shen's Garden, Jin's Garden, and Chenghuang Temple. (Excerpt from the introduction of Qiuxiapu ticket, modified)

Shanghai | The autumn maple ceiling is gradually entering its most beautiful moment
I want to share the beautiful moments I find in life with you every day.
The autumn in Shanghai is getting stronger, not only with the burnt yellow plane trees, golden ginkgo, but also with red, orange gradient maple leaves.
I want to share with you the autumn maple leaves of Qiuxia Garden on November 22 this year. Although it is the beginning of color change, it is already very beautiful.
Qiuxia Garden should be considered one of the autumn maple ceilings in Shanghai. There are many different varieties of maple trees planted here. Whenever autumn comes, the entire Qiuxia Garden will become colorful.
The maple leaves of Qiuxia Garden this year have begun to turn red. Although it is not the reddest time now, there are many colors, red, orange, yellow gradient, and ginkgo leaves all over the ground.
Although the day I went was a rainy day, it was still incredibly beautiful.
The photos were taken yesterday, and the maple leaves will be redder and more beautiful after a while. It is expected that the red maple can last until mid-December.

CALI RODGERS
A small garden with full saturation - Qiuxia Garden
Among the classical gardens in Shanghai, Zui Bai Chi is the best place to enjoy peonies in spring, and Guyi Garden is the best place to enjoy lotus flowers in summer. When the west wind rises, Qiuxia Garden becomes the top choice. Unfortunately, autumn in Shanghai is getting shorter and shorter, with only about a month between the light snow and heavy snow. Fortunately, the maple trees are as frost-resistant as the people of Jiangnan, making it possible to discuss what color down jacket is best to wear when taking photos with red maple leaves...
The autumn water is the same color as the sky, and the setting sun and the lone wild goose fly together. To better appreciate the autumn scenery, there are no barriers, so there are naughty children playing in the water, and there are also many aunts who fall into the water because they are too involved. Needless to say, it is people mountain, people sea on weekends, and even on weekdays. The usual process is: the aunts occupy the camera position first and pose in N different poses. After the aunts finish taking photos, the uncles take photos, and after the uncles finish taking photos, they help the aunts take photos, and then another group of people comes. I also heard an uncle ask to "help take a more beautiful photo", it seems that the people of Shanghai are not divided by gender or age in their pursuit of beauty.
Back to the garden itself, the architecture is exquisite, and the pond is quiet, but because it is made up of several gardens, it is a bit messy in terms of overall coordination. Just like Yuyuan Garden in the city, the Nine Bend Bridge is separated from the garden, making the Sansui Hall at the entrance look very abrupt. However, after more than 500 years, it is not easy for the mountains and water systems to be basically preserved. Away from the crowd, sitting in the Qingxuan Pavilion (I guess this was originally the gatehouse of the house), watching the sunset through the red leaves into the pond, I can't help but feel a little nostalgic.
P.S. Thanks to the security guard for the guidance, he said that there are many people at the south gate on Dongda Street (the entrance is the Jiading City God Temple), and suggested entering from the west gate (in the alley next to the Jiading Museum), so you don't have to wait in line.

It's amazing! You can always trust the view of wedding photos!
I've seen Monet Garden in Gongqing Forest Park, red maple in Lu Xun Park, and ginkgo in Guilin Park, but this is the first time I've seen such a colorful park!
Although the park is not big, it has everything, including rockeries, Taohua Pool, ancient trees, museums, and City God Temple...
There are many people taking wedding photos in the park, which is enough to show how beautiful it is!

Shanghai Flower Viewing | Maple Leaves | Qiu Xia Garden
Late autumn and early winter is the best time to visit Qiu Xia Garden. The maple leaves have turned from green to red, and in the sunlight, they look like the red clouds in the sky. The leaves sway in the wind, creating a beautiful scene.
On the bridge by the river, the red, yellow, brown, and orange leaves create a beautiful scene, bringing a touch of ancient charm to the early winter.

Autumn in Shanghai | Enjoy the best red maple leaves at Qiuxia Garden
|Enjoy the best red maple leaves at Qiuxia Garden. The red maple leaves at Qiuxia Garden are famous, and now is the best time to see them.
❤Recommended reasons:
There are more than 150 maple trees in the garden, including red maple, green maple, Japanese maple, and feather maple. This year, the leaves turned red a little later than usual due to the temperature. In autumn, the leaves gradually turn from green to red, and finally become fiery red and colorful.
The red maple leaves are not just a single red color, but include a variety of shades such as dark red, orange-red, and light red, with distinct layers and stunning beauty. In the sunlight, the maple leaves are even more vivid and dazzling, as if they are the most exquisite work of nature, making Qiuxia Garden even more enchanting.
🗓Attractions:
The garden is divided into four areas: Peach Blossom Pool, Ningxia Pavilion, Qingjing Lake, and Yimiao Temple. In my opinion, except for Yimiao Temple, the three areas should correspond to three surnames. Peach Blossom Pool is for the Shen family, Ningxiang Pavilion is for the Jin family, and the rest is probably for the Gong family. But the three attractions are connected by pavilions and corridors, blending with each other.
⏳Travel tips:
[One] Best time: Mid-December, when the maple leaves are the most colorful, is the best time to enjoy the maple leaves.
[Two] Recommended route: After entering Qiuxia Garden, you can walk along the main road and visit attractions such as Peach Blossom Pool, Ningxia Pavilion, and Qingjing Lake in turn. Among them, the maple leaves by Qingjing Lake are particularly spectacular, making it an excellent place for taking photos.
[Three] Photography tips: Backlit photos of maple leaves are particularly good, as they highlight the translucent texture of the leaves. At the same time, using the contrast between the white walls and black tiles of ancient buildings and the red of the maple leaves and the yellow of the ginkgo leaves can create a visual effect of Oriental aesthetics.
[Four] Clothing suggestions: It is recommended to wear light-colored clothes to form a sharp contrast with the maple leaves, which will make the photos look better.
📍Address: No. 314, Dongdajie Street, Jiading District
🚉Transportation: Take Metro Line 11 to Jiading North Station, then transfer to Bus No. 12 and get off.
💰Average cost: CNY 10 for admission
🕙Opening hours: 8:00–17:00
⏳Duration: 2 hours
📝Tips: During the maple leaf season, you can enter the park from the west gate to avoid the crowds.

December 7, 2024: Qiuxia Garden
On December 7, I went to Qiuxia Garden, one of the five classical gardens in Shanghai, along with Yuyuan Garden, Guyi Garden, Zuibaichi Park, and Qu Shui Garden. Qiuxia Garden was originally three separate gardens: Gong's Garden, Jin's Garden, and Shen Hongzheng's Garden. Qiuxia Garden is famous for its rockeries, ponds, and winding paths.
Upon entering Qiuxia Garden, the first thing you see is the City God Temple, a Taoist temple. I always pray when I see a temple. After passing through the City God Temple, you will reach the area centered around Peach Blossom Pool, which includes the Celestial Cave, Wanxiang Residence, Shequ Bridge, Biwu Pavilion, and Peach Blossom Pool. The center is a red maple tree, which is beautiful. I love red, and I couldn't bear to delete any of the photos I took. Many people lingered here to take photos. There is also a 1,200-year-old ginkgo tree that is starting to turn yellow. Now is the best time to visit. If it rains, the scenery will be less beautiful, so hurry up and visit.
The park is not large, and the main attractions are the ginkgo and maple trees.
Tickets: CNY 10, only available at the ticket office.
Parking: CNY 7 for the first hour, CNY 4 for each additional hour. The parking lot is on Bole Road, I think. There is only one exit.

Late Autumn at Qiuxia Garden
Qiuxia Garden is a great place to visit in late autumn, with its pleasant scenery of dragonflies resting on the tips of lotus buds. The falling leaves signal the arrival of autumn, and the branches are adorned with dewdrops, like necklaces of pearls, shimmering with the gentle glow of autumn. A gentle breeze brings a refreshing coolness, making you feel relaxed and at ease.
On the forest paths of Qiuxia Garden, the shadows of trees sway, and fallen leaves dance in the air like colorful butterflies. A golden leaf quietly falls, gently covering the moist soil, leaving dappled shadows. As you walk on the layer of leaves, a soft rustling sound is heard, like the melody of autumn.
Late autumn at Qiuxia Garden is like a tranquil painting, depicting a serene and peaceful scene amidst the exquisite autumn colors. The chirping of cicadas and the melodious birdsong, accompanied by the gentle breeze, create a picture of tranquility and harmony. Here, time seems to stand still, and only the soul is purified, feeling the tranquility and beauty of autumn.
Every corner of Qiuxia Garden exudes the charm and poetry of late autumn. Perhaps it is this tranquil place that allows people to escape the hustle and bustle, listen to their inner voice, and appreciate the beauty and vastness of nature. Here, people can empty their minds, merge with nature, and feel the tranquility and harmony of autumn.
Late autumn at Qiuxia Garden is a place that makes people feel relaxed and bathed in the autumn light. Here, time flows slowly, allowing people to fully enjoy the gifts of nature and feel the beauty and tranquility of life. Perhaps it is in this autumn-filled garden that people can find the peace and serenity deep within their hearts.

[Fall Foliage Guide]
🍁Time: I recommend early to mid-December. The photos were taken around December 3, 2023. This year, the temperature dropped later, so you can go a few days later. The maple leaves will be more colorful during this time.
🍁Tickets are CNY 10. The park is open from 8:00 to 16:30. I recommend going when the park opens. The park is small, and there will be a lot of people if you go later (seniors can enter for free before 8:00).
🍁Be sure to go on a sunny day. The morning light shining through the trees is beautiful!
🍁Qiuxia Garden is small. The best spots are around the lake:
1⃣️Take photos on the bridge surrounded by maple leaves.
2⃣️Sit on the same side of the lake as the photographer.
3⃣️Sit on the opposite side of the lake from the photographer. You will need a telephoto lens.
4⃣️Take photos of the buildings by the lake with a frame composition.

Admire the autumn scenery at Qiuxia Garden and taste delicious food on Zhouqiao Old Street.
In late autumn, I wanted to see the beautiful scenery of Qiuxia Garden, so I drove there on the weekend. I was worried about the parking space, so I navigated directly to the RT-Mart Jiading Store next to the scenic area and parked my car in the supermarket parking lot (paid). The north gate of the parking lot is only a few dozen meters away from the ticket window of Qiuxia Garden. The ticket price is CNY 10 per person. After enjoying the beautiful scenery, you can go directly to the Jiading Museum next door through a passage in the garden (museum tickets are free, no reservation is required, and you cannot return to Qiuxia Garden after entering the museum). Visiting the Jiading Museum can also give you a better understanding of the history of Jiading. The exit of the museum is opposite Zhouqiao Old Street (no ticket is required). You can walk around the old street, where there is also Fahua Pagoda. You can also have lunch at a restaurant on the old street. Walk south along South Street to reach the Confucian Temple (free ticket) and Huilongtan Park (CNY 5 per person).

The quaint and exquisite garden | Qiuxia Garden
Located at No. 314 Dongda Street, Jiading District, Qiuxia Garden is a garden with historical imprints, and the Jiading City God Temple is also within the garden. Under the reflection of the autumn glow, the ancient pavilions and towers in the garden appear even more elegant, with the verdant trees and colorful flowers complementing each other. Strolling along the winding paths, one can feel the sediment of the years and the tranquility of nature. When the sunset falls, the entire garden seems to be enveloped in a golden glow, exuding a unique charm, with the green maple forest in the garden possessing a charm of its own. Qiuxia Garden is also connected to the Jiading Museum, allowing for a combined visit.

In spring, the Qiuxia Garden lacks red maples, yet it is a real-life version of the Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz
In spring, the Qiuxia Garden lacks red maples, yet it is a real-life version of the Emerald City. Qiuxia Garden is one of the oldest classical gardens in Shanghai, ranking alongside Songjiang Zuibaichi, Shanghai Yuyuan, Guyi Garden, and Qingpu Quyuan as the five major classical gardens of Shanghai. Qiuxia Garden is the most completely preserved one, established in the year 1502, and is now 522 years old.
Without the red maple leaves, Qiuxia Garden is exceptionally tranquil. There are few visitors, and although it lacks the colorful foliage and layers of forests dyed with autumn colors, it has lush green maple leaves, presenting a scene brimming with the essence of spring, resembling a secret jungle retreat within the city.

Shanghai Weekend Trip | A Hidden Exquisite Chinese Garden in Jiading
A Day Tour of Jiading Old Town
The attractions in Jiading Old Town are relatively concentrated, and there are many visitors on weekends, so if you want to enjoy taking photos and touring around, you must pay attention to the order of your visit.
Qiuxia Garden➡️Jiading Confucian Temple➡️Jiading Museum➡️Zhouqiao Old Street➡️Fahua Pagoda➡️Bamboo Carving Museum➡️Xi Yue Hotel➡️Huilongtan Park➡️Songming Garden➡️Yi Chi Garden Jinfu
1⃣️Qiuxia Garden—Jiading Confucian Temple—Jiading Museum
📍All three attractions are within the Qiuxia Garden scenic area (the museum is connected to its exit). Qiuxia Garden is a Ming Dynasty garden with a unique style, formed by the merger of three private gardens from the Ming Dynasty: Gong's Garden, Shen's Garden, Jin's Garden, and the town temple (Confucian Temple), making it one of Shanghai's five major gardens. Among them, the town temple was built during the Southern Song Dynasty, making it the oldest among the five major gardens in Shanghai.
📍Jiading Museum provides a detailed introduction to the history and development of Jiading
Visiting time is about 2-3 hours
🎫: 10 yuan
⏰: 8:00—16:30
📍: 314 Dongda Street, Jiading District (near Bole Road)
2⃣️Zhouqiao Old Street—Fahua Pagoda—Bamboo Carving Museum
📍The old street is crowded with people on weekends, with a strong commercial atmosphere, and is not very fun to play around, so it is recommended to take a quick look and stroll around
📍Built during the Song Dynasty and repaired through various dynasties, it is a landmark building of Jiading City and has also witnessed the historical development of Jiading. Fahua, meaning that everyone can obtain Buddha-like wisdom, after the pagoda was built, Jiading's academic reputation 'soared', and those who want to make progress in their studies must visit 😜
📍Bamboo Carving Museum
The museum is not large, but it has a rich collection of exquisite bamboo carvings, mainly from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
📍After visiting these two places, it's almost noon, and you can go to the Jiading Mansion of Xi Yue Hotel for a meal. The hotel garden is quiet amidst the hustle and bustle, with a unique charm.
3⃣️Huilongtan Park
Compared to Qiuxia Garden, there are fewer visitors. The shadows of the trees are reflected in the pavilions, and as you move forward through the red walls and green tiles, you step into a new realm.
📍299 Tacheng Road
🎫 5 yuan
4⃣️Songming Garden
📌Inspired by Wang Xizhi's Orchid Pavilion Preface, a place of elegant and natural gatherings has been constructed. The teahouse is built by the water, and while sipping tea in the thatched cottage, it feels as though it was naturally formed, indeed embodying the elegance of a scholar's garden.
In addition, the garden houses many small animals, peacocks🦚, alpacas🦙, sika deer🦌, rabbits🐰... While the adults enjoy themselves, there is also a place for children to frolic.
📢If you don't like tea, there is a baked bun coffee shop next door, with a Japanese style, offering coffee, desserts, and simple meals🍱. If the kids are tired from playing, they can come here to eat.
Playing and tea time is 2-3 hours

5⃣️Yi Chi Garden Jiading Jinfu
For dinner, you can choose this place. Jinfu was the private residence of Jin Tong, known as the 'Silk Weaving King' during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, completed in 1851. The main hall is 12 meters high, with 12 round columns all made of golden phoebe wood, and the beams and columns are covered with exquisite carvings. The courtyard is filled with plants.

Discover Shanghai | Finally found a scenic spot without crowding
Digging for lesser-known scenic spots, I finally found Jiading Qiuxiapu, where there is no crowding. The experience of visiting the park during the peak travel period in the afternoon of the fourth day of the lunar new year was off the charts! I also caught a wave of blooming red plums, how delightful!

During this Spring Festival holiday, it's too hard to find a scenic spot without crowding! The ancient towns I usually like to visit are basically shoulder-to-shoulder at this time.
-
I arrived in Jiading a bit late in the afternoon and only visited Qiuxiapu and Zhouqiao Old Street. There are not many highlights in Qiuxiapu this season. Without the buff of autumn red leaves, there are significantly fewer visitors, which is a rare tranquility. A few blooming red plums, although not many, are a surprise. The plum blossoms near the Suihan Pavilion should all bloom in the next week or two, which is a good time to enjoy the plum blossoms.

Qiuxia Garden and Jiading Museum
Qiuxia Garden tickets are 10 yuan, and there is a small path inside the garden that leads directly to Jiading Museum, which can only be entered in one direction and cannot be exited from the museum.
As soon as you enter the park, there is a City God Temple, where there is free incense, and you can also scan the code to buy your own incense candles or red cloth strips for blessings.
The park's landscape and buildings are very compact, and there are not many people on weekdays, so it's very comfortable to stroll around. Along a small path, I saw several small toads the size of a fingernail cap, hopping past in the soil and grass, so cute.
Picture 4 is probably a banana tree that is bearing fruit.
There is a recent oracle bone script exhibition in Jiading Museum, which ends at the end of July. The environment in the museum is also very good, and it is comfortable to see the exhibition with few people.

Shanghai Jiading Qiuxiapu
I last visited Qiuxiapu when I was a child, and I went there for a stroll during the National Day holiday to avoid the crowd. The entrance fee is 10 yuan, the garden is small and quiet, and the scenery should be better in late autumn. Next door is the Jiading Museum, across the street is Zhouqiao Old Street, and a further 500 meters walk will take you to Jiading Confucius Temple and Huilongtan Park.

Visiting the secluded garden, Autumn Xia Garden, where green and yellow have not yet merged
I originally planned to stay in the Autumn Xia Garden at the end of November, taking advantage of the strong autumn atmosphere, to visit the green maple and yellow ginkgo. Yesterday I went to Kunshan for a gathering and returned to Shanghai by subway this morning. On the return journey, I studied in Jiading for a long time and decided to explore it first. As expected, the time has not come, there is no red, no yellow, just green.
Today's journey also completes the collection of Shanghai's five major classical gardens.

Qiuxia Garden: The most beautiful time of the year!
When it comes to deep autumn, most parts of the country have started a colorful painting style, with forests dyed in layers and landscapes like paintings.
Returning to Shanghai, I always want to find some classical colors, so I think of Jiading's Qiuxia Garden - this garden can represent 'Once autumn comes, Jiading becomes a beautiful city'.
Qiuxia Garden, one of the five major gardens in Shanghai, 'Qiuxia' is derived from Wang Bo's 'Tengwang Pavilion Preface' 'The falling sunset and the lonely bird fly together, the autumn water and the long sky are the same color', which embodies the original garden owner's wish of 'not falling into the blue sky'.
It is formed by the merger of three private gardens from the Ming Dynasty, Gong's Garden, Shen's Garden, Jin's Garden and the City Temple, with a total area of 45.36 acres.
The garden is divided into four scenic areas: Taohuatan Scenic Area (formerly Gong's Garden), Ningxia Pavilion Scenic Area (formerly Shen's Garden), Qingjing Pond Scenic Area (formerly Jin's Garden) and City Temple Scenic Area. The garden has pavilions, towers, beautiful pools and winding paths, dense forests and bamboo, artificial mountains and strange caves, compact layout and ingenious workmanship. There are gardens in the garden, and there are scenes outside the scene, known as 'urban mountain forest'.
The autumn color of Qiuxia Garden comes from the red of the chicken claw maple. There are many chicken claw maples concentrated around the Suihan Pavilion. They are planted by the water. Several trees are deep red and light yellow. The spread branches and leaves can shade half of the pool.
Walking in the autumn garden, there will be two emotions.
One is autumn thoughts, the beauty of the coldness of the rain hitting the residual lotus, the withered lotus stems, the withered banana leaves, and the falling willow leaves, which makes people sad, which is often referred to as 'since ancient times, autumn is lonely'.
Another is autumn drunk, the maple fragrance dyed red, the ginkgo is bright yellow, the autumn leaves are quietly beautiful, the tree shadows are mottled, making people 'drunk and don't know the way home'.
Walking in Qiuxia Garden, most of them are 'autumn drunk', orange and green, it is really 'a good view of the year, you need to remember'.

🏕Main attractions introduction
The middle and late November is not the best viewing period, only the maple leaves near the museum have turned red. But the museum is only allowed to enter but not exit, once you exit, you have to leave the garden. It is recommended to visit other attractions first and then go to the museum specifically to take pictures of maple leaves, it takes about 1 hour to tour other attractions. The best time to shoot the maple leaves in the museum is from 1-2 pm.
By the end of November to mid-December, the scenery here is absolutely beautiful, the red maple leaves are mainly concentrated in the Peach Blossom Pond area, every step is a view, everywhere is a good photo spot. I will come back to take pictures and share with everyone then.
🚗Transportation 1. Subway: Take the subway line 11 to Jiading North Station and then transfer to the bus 2. Self-driving: Navigate to Qiuxiapu, there is a parking lot at the entrance, or you can park at RT-Mart.

I encountered Qiuxiapu in late autumn
Qiuxiapu, one of the top five gardens in Shanghai, is exquisite and antique. Its history can be traced back to the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522-1566 AD), with a history of 500 years, which makes it the 'oldest garden' in the 'friend circle' of Shanghai gardens. The two characters 'Qiuxia' in Qiuxiapu are derived from Wang Bo's 'Preface to the Tengwang Pavilion', 'The falling glow and the lonely bird fly together, the autumn water and the long sky are the same color', which embodies the original garden owner's wish of 'not falling into the blue cloud'. The garden is connected to Dongda Street in Jiading in the south and Qiliang Road in the north. It is a classical garden with a unique style. The whole garden covers an area of more than 40 acres, divided into Taohuatan (the original Gong's garden), Ningxiage (the original Shen's garden), Qingjing Pond (the original Jin's garden) and Chenghuang Temple and other four scenic spots, with exquisite layout and elegant environment. In the hearts of garden experts, Qiuxiapu has always held a unique position. Mr. Chen Congzhou, the 'father of modern Chinese gardens', introduced it in detail in his 'Jiading Qiuxiapu and Haining Anlan Garden', and guided its restoration in the 1980s when the ancient garden was in ruins, which shows Mr. Chen's affection for Qiuxiapu. A long and narrow Taohuatan water, the thick southern mountain formed by soil and stone lies on one side. It is worth mentioning that in the gentle valley inside the southern mountain, under the high forest on both sides, there is a winding path running through it. In Mr. Chen Congzhou's view, this is a big move, which is rare in private gardens in the south of the Yangtze River. In mid-December every year, the hundred maple trees in Jin's garden in Qiuxiapu reach the best time to enjoy the red. 'Stop the car and sit in love with the maple forest in the evening, the frost leaves are redder than the February flowers.' If you want to find a place where the maple is red like a glow, as rich and gorgeous as the verse in Du Mu's 'Mountain Travel', Jiading Qiuxiapu is definitely the best choice. Qiuxiapu
