In Nanjing! Stayed at a hotel of a lifetime! So good I cried
Yihe Road is half of the Republic of China history
Stayed at a hotel of a lifetime in Nanjing, so good I cried. Sisters traveling to Nanjing, go for it!
A small building full of retro flavor
This small building is really retro. I was amazed as soon as I entered the courtyard. The courtyard is lush with vegetation, clean and tidy. The quiet environment is pleasant, not only suitable for accommodation, but also great for taking photos.
The small building is in a great location
It's on Yihe Road, surrounded by many former residences of celebrities~ The plane trees on the road are so atmospheric. It's so romantic to go for a city walk here! It's also quite close to Xuanwu Lake and Jiming Temple!
The service and breakfast are also worth mentioning
The service was great, and I got a free room upgrade. The welcome fruit and desserts were also generous. I loved the atmosphere, and the breakfast was a la carte and buffet, which was very ceremonial.......

Travel back to the Republic of China with Zhao Lusi and experience a century of elegance
Yihe Road is a place where you can experience the history of the Republic of China. The breeze blows through the sycamore-lined streets, bringing with it a poetic atmosphere. Every historical building, every tree, and every corner is a story waiting to be told. Nanjing Yihe Mansions is located here.
Rooms
There are only 26 villas, including the front desk, restaurant, and museum, with only 33 rooms available for guests. Stay in the 75-square-meter suite in Villa No. 3, and step through the heavy solid wood door into a dream of the Republic of China. The square space is divided into a study, living room, bedroom, and bathroom, with a small balcony outside the bedroom. The French shutters, brass lamps, Iranian green marble, wooden floors, thick carpets, retro telephones, silk pajamas, and Lefroy Brooks bathroom fittings all recreate the comfortable lifestyle of the upper class in the Republic of China.
Dining
The hotel's Wanguochun Chinese Restaurant is a Black Pearl one-diamond restaurant, serving classic Huaiyang cuisine such as Chinese yam and fish brain soup, shrimp with egg white, stewed eel, and shredded tofu. Guhe Mansion's Western restaurant is very elegant and suitable for more private gatherings. The classic dishes include duck liver pudding, steak, and desserts.
Facilities
The hotel has 7 museums, which are free for guests to visit. The Republic of China Food Culture Exhibition, Clothing Exhibition, and Architectural Protection Achievements Exhibition are all interesting, but the most important is the Anti-Japanese War Museum of General Xue Yue. When you leave the hotel, there is even more to see. History and architecture lovers will be fascinated by this place.

Yihe Mansion | Be a Wealthy Lady of the Republic of China for a Day
|Be a Wealthy Lady of the Republic of China for a Day. Yihe Road Historical and Cultural Street is a landmark of Nanjing, and Yihe Mansion is a microcosm of the historical culture of the Republic of China. Yihe Mansion consists of 26 villas with different styles. The historical weight is still clearly visible between the blue bricks and gray tiles. The elegant and solemn style reveals its uniqueness.
Today, I stayed in Room 188 of Building 18, attracted by its large arched balcony. It seems that I can see the scene of a wealthy lady of the Republic of China leaning on the balcony and counting her thoughts. It is so photogenic, but only this room has this arched balcony, so remember to book in advance.
When I opened the door of the house, the original style of the Republic of China was presented in front of me. All solid wood furniture, wooden shutters, chaise longue bathtub, Iranian green marble, low-key luxury, time instantly pulled back to that era, and scenes from the movie slowly unfolded in front of me.
I chose the century-old Western restaurant for dinner. The house and Western food are a perfect match. The restaurant is very private, and the lighting atmosphere is just right, lazy and romantic.
If you ask me why I stayed last week and only sorted it out and posted it this week, it is really because Yihe Mansion is so photogenic. Every photo seems to tell a story, recording a frame of emotion, making it difficult to let go.

Immerse yourself in the Republic of China era at the Yihe Mansion.
It's worth coming to Nanjing just to stay at this hotel!!!
Yihe Road, half of the history of the Republic of China.
When I went to Nanjing on a business trip, I specifically chose a hotel on Yihe Road, so I could take a walk among the old houses of famous people from the Republic of China era.
The hotel is the Yihe Mansion, a high-end residential area provided by the government of the Republic of China in the 1930s for government officials. There are only 33 rooms in total, and each room has small differences in design. Each room has its own distant story.
The room is designed in the style of the Republic of China, with an arc-shaped balcony, a queen bathtub, an old-fashioned telephone, and white wooden shutters that make people dream of returning to Nanjing during the Republic of China era.
This time, my girlfriend and I were very lucky to be assigned to Villa No. 18 and became upstairs and downstairs neighbors. (And Building 18 is the most popular internet celebrity check-in building in the entire 16 Republic of China buildings hhhh) In the morning, I made an appointment to go to the hotel's own Black Pearl breakfast and then go back to make up and take pictures. It's like going back to the carefree days of studying in London.
The hotels of the Rolay Chateau Group never disappoint!!! It must be more immersive to stay here in autumn. Unfortunately, there are currently only seven Rolay Chateau member hotels in China.
Hotel name: Rolay Chateau. Nanjing Yihe Mansion

Rebirth: Back to the Republic of China as a Celebrity | Rolay Shado · Yihe Mansion.
|Rolay Shado · Yihe Mansion. Rebirth: Back to the Republic of China as a Celebrity | Rolay Shado · Yihe Mansion
The best place to stay in Nanjing, Rolay Shado · Yihe Mansion: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Highlights:
Yihe Mansion is hidden in the elegance of the Republic of China. As a witness to the "Capital Plan" inscribed by Chiang Kai-shek, it has been a habitat for the upper class since its birth. The mansion suite I stayed in this time undoubtedly shows this profound sense of history. Even compared with other renovated ancient buildings, Yihe Mansion is still unique, and the exquisite details make me look forward to another ancient building hotel that is about to open in Nanjing.
The service of Yihe Mansion is more detailed than that of general luxury hotels. In the room, in addition to the rich fruit plate, there is also a special fruit plate and fruit knife, which is really a surprise. What's more, many hotels usually require guests to pick up their own meals when handling takeaways, but here, the hotel's thoughtful butler service can be delivered directly to the room, enjoying a worry-free and comfortable experience, which is extremely rare in the current market.
Shortcomings:
Although there are many advantages, it is undeniable that it is still the nature of a boutique hotel. There are some shortcomings in some facilities, that is, the hotel does not have a swimming pool, which is a bit regrettable for me.
Another problem is that the hotel breakfast is relatively simple, and there is a clear lack of richness in the dishes, and the taste is not outstanding.
Despite some minor shortcomings, it is still one of my favorite hotels in Nanjing. Whether it is the profound historical heritage or the intimate service details, it is a rare place where luxury and warmth coexist.

Check-in experience at the Nanjing Weilai Xiaduo Hotel.
I chose this renovated mansion from the Republic of China period for my trip to the Nanjing Special Forces. The hotel is located on Yihe Road, which is lined with French sycamore trees and is perfect for a city walk.
The hotel offers villa-style rooms. I booked a basic room and was upgraded to a single-story villa on the side. The room was large and elegantly decorated. Although it was close to the road, the soundproofing was good. The bathroom was equipped with a niche European brand and a Dyson hairdryer.
The breakfast buffet was good and you could order.

Experience a night in an old western-style house in Nanjing
||📍Yihe Mansion
Surroundings: Yihe Road Republic of China historical style area, right outside is a tourist check-in spot. About 3km from Jiming Temple and Xuanwu Lake.
Environment: There are about 20 villas in total, 8 of which are used for the hotel. The greening is good, and the houses are also nice looking.
⚠️There is security at the entrance, but outsiders can come and go as they please. There are quite a few local residents walking around in the evening. Be sure to close the doors behind you when entering the houses, but the security should be okay.
Service: The staff have a very good attitude.
Facilities: The occupancy rate seems not very high? The provided fruit was actually rotten. It must have been left for quite a while. The bed is on the softer side, and the quilt is very thick, so you need to turn on the air conditioning. There are 4 suites in one building, each with a terrace. The lighting in room 8 is very dim. The hangers are also in poor condition. The cleanliness is average. The breakfast is not tasty.
⚠️There are a lot of mosquitoes, so you must close the door immediately after going out to the terrace, otherwise, you won't be able to sleep at night because of the bites.
ps: Didn't stay in the cover, which is supposed to be the best and most expensive one haha
Summary: Staying one night to experience the Republic of China mansion is OK, but the comfort level is not particularly good.

Nanjing | Settle into Yihe Road and experience the elegance and prosperity of the Republican era
When the magnolias bloom, it's time to visit Nanjing.
It's said that 'a single Yihe Road tells half the history of the Republic.' This hotel, preserving the original Republican-era architecture, makes me feel even more the essence of the high life back then.
Equipped with a 24-hour personal butler, because I have to catch an early flight the next day, they will deliver breakfast to my room the night before.
From check-in at the 'Shenliutang' all the way through the winding paths to the front door of our little villa, everywhere is filled with a retro romantic charm.
My room type is on the second floor, and the butler will help carry the luggage up.
Going up the stairs, there's even a terrace facing me; the sunlight filtering through the louvred windows sprinkles on the parquet floor, and the dream of the Republic seems so distant, as if in a trance, I can hardly tell which era I'm actually in.
The city is Nanjing, the trees are plane trees, and you are the one in my heart.
I can always believe in the romance of Nanjing❤️

Immersed in the old times of the Republic of China, lost in the old dreams of Jinling
In Nanjing, there is a very legendary hotel, it has a profound historical background, it can represent an era of Nanjing. On Yihe Road in the center of Nanjing, there has always been a saying that 'one Yihe Road, half of the history of the Republic of China'. It is extremely historical here, and each building has its own unique story. Stay in Rollei Shado, Yihe Mansion, and indulge in the old dreams of Jinling.
In 1927, after the Republic of China established its capital in Nanjing, it issued the 'Capital Plan' written by Chiang Kai-shek himself. This is a city planning document, one of the products of which is the Yihe Road Mansion District. These celebrity residences and embassies, their courtyards and buildings each have their own characteristics, they each have their own stories, recording the changes of history.
The full name of Yihe Mansion is 'Rollei Shado·Yihe Mansion', which is a member of the hotel alliance Rollei Shado. Rollei Shado is a luxury hotel brand in France, known as the 'most beautiful hotel alliance in the world'. Only the world's top hotels and restaurants can become members of this organization. Therefore, the products of Yihe Mansion are absolutely not minefields.
As soon as you step into the hotel gate, you seem to be in the Republic of China. The Yihe Mansion is shaded by trees, and the villas are independent of each other, with mottled maple leaves and yellow wall courtyards. The white wooden shutters in the room, the queen's bathtub and other facilities, remind people of the old times of the Republic of China. The mattress is made by Sealy in the United States, and the bathroom is equipped with the British royal brand lefory brooks, which is completely high-end.
Entering from gate 4, after completing the check-in procedures in the small red western-style building on the left, the private housekeeper Amei guided me while telling the story here. The 26 villas are evenly distributed under the cover of the plane trees, the garden is green and the water is gurgling, surrounded by green bricks and pillars.
Somehow I suddenly thought of Miss Zhang Ailing. In the eyes of the world, she belongs more to the mottled agarwood of old Shanghai, but because of her love with Hu Lancheng and her ancestral relationship, whether it is the Jiang Mansion in 'Golden Lock', the White Mansion in 'Love in the Fallen City', or the Yao Family in 'Glass Tiles', it is hard not to doubt whether the reference is Zhang's ancestral home in Nanjing.
Building 21, Jiangsu Road, is the former residence of Zhao Xiasun, a well-known scholar in the Republic of China. When passing by the former residence of Liu Jiashu at No. 18, I couldn't help but stop and look for a while, because there are typical Roman columns at the door, which are very eye-catching. This was originally built by the businessman Xiong Jianyun, and was later bought by Liu Jiashu. This commander-in-chief was captured three times in history. The last time was during the War of Liberation. He was imprisoned in the Fushun War Criminals Management Office and died of illness in 1972. I don't know if he has ever met Puyi, the last emperor, in the War Criminals Management Office.
When the silk and hemp pajamas that were popular in the upper society in the old days, the patterned parquet floor, the sky blue porcelain, the retro telephone and the French shutters meet the American Sealy mattress, the British LefroyBrooks bathroom utensils, the negative ion air purifier, and the capsule coffee machine, the perfect combination of retro and novelty, the design of the mansion is also unique, giving up the flashy design, constantly integrating the nostalgia for the past in the details, but also very well fitting the overall style and atmosphere. Compared with Zhang's ancestral home, which has completely become a ruin, only the moon gate and the column base steps are left, and you can still imagine the traces of the flower hall pavilion in the past. It is fortunate that No. 3 Jiangsu Road can be preserved to this day, especially the mansion has also taken out several villas for the display of the culture of the Republic of China, covering the clothing of the Republic of China, the colored pencil drawing exhibition of the architecture of the Republic of China, the screening of movies from the period of the Republic of China, and the personal experience of engraving printing, etc. It is comparable to the private appreciation center of the museum, striving to reproduce the style of the Republic of China in that era.
Staying here, more likely is to be able to feel a cultural and historical experience that cannot be found elsewhere, more like a dark green dream in a parallel time and space.

Live like home | "Nanjing" Relais & Chteaux [Expression] and Mansion Boutique Hotel tastes historical feelings
here is not only the Relais & Chteaux [Expression] and Mansion Boutique Hotel, but also the museum of architecture and culture of the Republic of China. Combine the most authentic feelings of the Republic of China with the modern elements. There is also a national flag robe exhibition, the Republic of China food exhibition, education book exhibition, Kunqu Art Museum ... in many aspects of the cultural tradition of the Republic of China. From the purely experiential service provided by the hotel to the height of humanistic pursuit and historical sentiment, the award of the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Cultural Heritage Protection Award can be obtained. The
noisy spot is sprinkled on the leaves of the French sycamore yellowing, and the thoughts switch back and forth between history and reality. The years are dignified, the literary aristocratic Republic of China, the era of the general public, has been like the leaves of this falling autumn leaves, disappearing in the dust of historical dust.
Renovation of the old Republican small building, pure white western blinds, revolving stairs, anti-carbonized parquet flooring, solid wood Chinese and Western furniture, exquisite retro telephone, brass lamp holder... ...all of them reflect the advocacy of the Republic of China on Western culture. Maojiasi's carpet, Jingdezhen azure porcelain, Rongbaozhai tailored the half-boiled rice paper for the hotel, taken from Lu Xun's "Peace of the Plum Blossoms" in the "Peace of the Plum Blossoms", Ning Shen Deworming The beech ball, the carving of the ten scenes of Jinling, the Chinese pajamas of silky texture... and the influence of traditional culture everywhere.
