From there, we could admire the magnificent organ up close, its detailed craftsmanship and sheer scale even more impressive when seen at eye level. Dresden, the capital of Saxony region in Germany is absolutely fantastic with all the historic buildings perseved in the city centre. Many of them actually were destroyed during the Second Word War, but thankfully later on they were rebuilt, so even today we can enjoy this precious baroque and rococo style. The Zwinger is under renovation right now, but the Frauenkirche and the Royal Palace are in great condition. My parents' education was a success! I don't get excited when I see a lot of churches, so I try to go only to churches that I like just by looking at the visuals. This time it's a baby blue church, so it's too cute 🥺 When I found it on Google Maps, I was like, "Whoa!? I definitely want to go." It's called the Blue Church, but its official name is The Church of St. Elizabeth/Kostol svätej Alžbety. Blue Church It's a relatively new church built between 1903 and 1913⛪️It was built by a Hungarian and it seems to have been built in the Hungarian Art Nouveau style. This is the first time I've heard of it... Hungarian Art Nouveau🤭It's elegant and cute, so it's nice~ This church is not for tourists, so the opening hours are quite short. If you want to take photos inside the building, please go between 6:30 and 7:30am and 5:30 and 7:00pm↑. *May change slightly depending on the day of the week. I took a photo of the building in the morning, and when I went back in the evening, mass was in progress. I was glared at while taking a photo. Sorry🙏 So I recommend going before or after mass. I went home crying. #temples Visiting the gorgeous cathedral of Saint cecile was the most memorable experience of a day trip to Albi. It's a small medieval town with a bridge and a river running through it. While there are a handful of other sights to explore including the likes of museum, palace and riverside pathway. I found the cathedral to be the heart of tourist interest in Albi. It's a French gothic Cathedral that is made from bricks. That has a certain charm to it. And I'm even told that it happens to be the world's largest brick cathedral. It has beautiful windows and carvings. The paintings on the ceilings are stunning. There is even an organ instrument inside. It must be an active place of worship. As I approached the weathered chapel, its presence seemed to beckon me forward, urging me to immerse myself in its storied history and timeless spirituality. The origins of St. Anne's Sanctuary can be traced back to 1833, when Chinese and Indian migrant workers arrived from the Batu Kawan area in Penang. French missionaries from Batu Kawan came to Bukit Mertajam to minister to the Catholic families in the area, eventually leading to the establishment of the sanctuary. Inside, the scent of incense filled the air, mingling with the soft murmur of prayers that echoed through the sacred space. Wandering through the tranquil gardens, I marveled at the statues of Passion and the graceful architecture that surrounded me. Each corner of the sanctuary seemed to hold a piece of the past, a reminder of the enduring legacy of faith that had brought me here. Leaving St. Anne's Sanctuary, I carried with me a sense of peace and renewal, grateful for the opportunity to have experienced such a sacred place firsthand.
