Must Go! Surprise Mama Diam in Singapore
#cafestory #100waysoftravel #singapore
Visit this unique nostalgic Mama Diam , a truly hidden gem in Singapore, offering a unique and memorable dining experience. From the outside, this establishment looks like an old shophouses, giving little indication that it houses a vibrant restaurant and bar within.
But once you step inside, you'll discover a world of culinary creativity and charm.
The drink menu is particularly intriguing and very innovative with options like a Nasi Lemak-inspired cocktail , Milo and many more.. that adds a playful twist to traditional flavors.
The food, too, is a delightful fusion of local and modern influences. Standout dishes include the Chili Crab Bun, a clever take on the iconic Singaporean dish, and a reimagined version of Bak Kut Teh that surprises with every bite.
The atmosphere is made even more enjoyable by the warm and welcoming staff. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Mama Diam offers a distinctive taste of Singapore that shouldn't be missed.

Exploring Tiffany Blue Box Cafe so therapeutic🌟♥️🌹

Exploring Tiffany Blue Box Cafe in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, the caf é at Tiffany's home happened to be deserted at noon, so I checked in for the most classic Tiffany blue dessert. Man Shaved ice: When Tiffany Shaved ice comes up, the waiter will help pour the marshmallow. There is cheese under the marshmallow. It's delicious. Cocktail: Tiffany, True Love. Tiffany Blue tends to be sweeter, and it looks great in photos. True Love has a moderate flavor that combines bone wood and golden wine. It may be a bit heavy for girls to drink and is not highly recommended.? The Ritz Cafe in London is Beautiful✨🌹♥️
#cafestory
The Ritz in London offers a cup of afternoon tea and a sense of acceptance of history. Afternoon tea in England originated in the early 19th century, led by Anna Law, the 7th Duchess of Bedford. In the Victorian era, people usually only had two meals, breakfast and dinner. This lady felt hungry in the afternoon after breakfast, but it was still a long time before dinner time. So the Duke spent a wonderful afternoon in his room, drinking lake tea with a little thought. Later, his wife invited friends to chat and have afternoon tea in her estate, and then took a walk in the garden. This move was very popular, and the Duchess brought her event to London during the social season to continue moving forward. Soon, other noblewomen followed suit and imitated, and such gatherings became increasingly formal and luxurious, sparking a wave of afternoon tea club social activities in British high society. With the popularization of tea, the afternoon was prohibited from blowing on the three islands of England, eventually becoming a major cultural imprint of Britain. Post-Workout Treat - Brunch and Gelato at Lavender Street
#cafestory
On a rare Sunday morning, we decided to make the most of our early start with a workout session. After exercising, we ventured into the Lavender neighborhood to explore its brunch offerings.
1. Chye Seng Huat Hardware
Lavender is known for its vibrant cafe scene, stretching from Horne to Hamilton Road. This time, we visited Chye Seng Huat Hardware Cafe on Tyrwhitt Road, an establishment that has been a staple since 2012. It's impressive that it has remained popular despite the growing competition in the area.
Arriving before noon, we found the cafe bustling with activity, and we were only able to secure an outdoor table. The aroma from the nearby coffee roasting building was irresistible, filling the air with a delightful, rich scent. The cafe's enduring popularity is evident; its appeal remains strong even a decade later. The menu offers a diverse selection of brunch and lunch options, accompanied by an impressive array of coffee beans. We sampled the eggs benedict, vegetarian pumpkin and mushroom sourdough, and wraps. The quality and flavour of the dishes seemed to have elevated over the years, with more innovative and refined offerings. Our overall dining experience was thoroughly enjoyable.
Address: 150 Tyrwhitt Rd, Singapore 207563
Price: $$
2. Sweet Cheeks
Post-brunch, we crossed the street to a gelato shop called Sweet Cheeks, a perfect stop given the warm weather. Eager to try something new, I opted for flavours I hadn't experienced before. I chose watermelon mint and blue pea chrysanthemum chocolate chip. While the watermelon mint was refreshing, its sharpness might not be for everyone, given the bold combination of flavours.
Address: 147 Tyrwhitt Rd, Singapore 207561
Price: $$
Flavours: Pistachio and Hazelnut
Our Sunday outing was a delightful blend of indulgence and discovery. The day highlighted the charm and vibrancy of the Lavender neighborhood, making for a memorable experience. Where should we venture to next?

Best cafe in Singapore
#cafestory
I make it a point to stop by the populas, whenever i am around Neil road. The coffee is just perfect and I now I have tried their brunch, several breakfasts and a coffee stop over a dozen times. Never have I found it missing anything. They do get pretty packed around certain hours. But that just goes to show how good the place is and so deserves all the repeat customers.
My personal favourites include their pancakes, crispy fried chicken. I am a French toast maniac and this place does the best ones. Both pesto and coffee are two things that sets them apart from a lot of places. The staff is friendly, the service is efficient. Prices at par with what you'd expect from a cafe like this. The portions are good for sharing. So no complaints. It's split into 2 levels. I find the second level nicer and it tends to be less occupied than downstairs. Give this one a try, you'll love it!

The Perfect Blend: Hội An’s Timeless Charm and a Cup of Coconut Coffee
#cafestory #100WaysofTravel #vietnam #coconutcoffee
Our day trip to the ancient town of Hội An was steeped in history, culture, and, of course, the local café scene. Among the countless charming spots to unwind, we were drawn to Memories Brunch and Cafe, a delightful three-story gem that blends modern comforts with the old-world charm of Hội An.
The café itself was an oasis from the relentless heat outside. We were instantly drawn to the air-conditioned interior, where the atmosphere was cool and inviting, a perfect retreat from the blazing sun. The moment we sat down, we knew we had made the right choice. We ordered a coconut milk coffee—a local specialty—and it exceeded all expectations. The creamy texture, combined with the subtle sweetness of coconut, made each sip feel like a small, luxurious escape from the summer heat.
But what truly made the experience memorable was the warm hospitality. The staff, attentive and friendly, brought us chilled water to refresh us further. To our pleasant surprise, the café’s owner personally came over to greet us. She had a radiant smile and a genuine warmth that made us feel like old friends. She shared a little insider tip: the best time to explore the ancient town was early in the morning, when the streets are empty, and the town feels like a serene, untouched relic of the past.
Intrigued by her advice, we made a mental note for the next day, but first, we ventured up to the café’s balcony. As we stepped outside, the view took our breath away. Below us, Hội An sprawled out like a living postcard—ancient rooftops, winding streets, and the gentle curve of the Thu Bồn River all bathed in the golden glow of the setting sun. It was a photographer’s dream, every angle offering a new perspective on the town’s timeless beauty.
As we sipped the last of our coffee and soaked in the view, we realized that this moment, perched above the ancient town with a perfect cup of coffee in hand, was the essence of what makes travel so special. It’s the small, unexpected moments of connection—with a place, its people, and even yourself—that linger in your memory long after the journey ends.
