I always take forever when I am taking photos), or if you decide to grab a ticket and inevitably you'll spend more time. 💜 London Eye - Get off station Waterloo, but don't be alarmed as that station is massive and has multiple exists. If you follow the signs for London Eye, you can't miss them, you'll get out of the correct exit. The walk towards the attraction should not be longer than 10 minutes although if it is crowded, and usually it is during peak times it might take you a bit longer. Make sure if you wanna go on the ride, it will be cheaper if you buy your tickets in advance. 💜 Big Ben - The famous clock in London. Good news, after six years of the clock being under restoration, it is finally opened to the public since 2023. It takes only ten minutes walk from London Eye, cannot miss the clock! 💜 Westminster's Abbey - Five minutes away from Big Ben. Myself personally have not been inside and I regret not going in whilst I had the chance. Therefore, do not make the same mistake. If you feel like you wanna visit something and see it, you should! Day 0- Arrival in the hotel and just explore the neighborhood you’re in. Try local snacks right away. The lamb skewers taste divine in Xinjiang so please don’t miss this paired with Nang bread . Visit the International Grand Bazaar and have your dinner there. It is so vibrant and you can shop there until you drop. 😊 Day 1- we have booked a tour to the Grand Canyon of Tianshan Mountains. Trip app offers tickets and shuttle bus tickets so just have a look through the app. Your hotel and hostel will have recommendations for tour operators for you anyway. If you are an anxious person, better book in advance but I don’t think they ever run out of tickets coz there aren’t a lot of tourists in Urumqi and it’s scenic spots yet. 7:30 was out call time at the meeting point. No worries, they will contact you in advance for this tour’s instructions. This is pretty much whole day activity so do not book any other stuff on the same day. Day 2- another full day tour. This time , you will go to the most and highly recommended tourist spot in Urumqi which is the Heavenly Lake. This is also a guided tour. Trip app has available offers for this too but then again you can also book through your hostel or hotel. Seriously, Heavenly lake and its surrounding mountain is like a massive painting. It is indeed breathtaking. Anyway, before you reach the heavenly lake, you will stop at a Kazakh village which is really interesting to see. You get to learn how the Kazakh minority live, culture and tradition. You will arrive back to tour hotel in the evening already so depending on your energy level you can go for a cultural show in the international grand bazaar. It is very fascinating to see the lives of the ancient people living in Jaiohe. The entire village depicts their daily lives like the money , jewelry and the clothing they used. It also displays their livelihood like the process of drying the grapes and turning them into raisins. It is really a brilliant idea to show this village replica first before heading to the ruins. The Petronas twin towers are one of the most recognisable landmarks in the world, and they’re even more beautiful up close! If you’re planning a trip to Kuala Lumpur you have to swing by to take a look, you won’t regret it! The towers are anchored by the huge Suria KLCC mall which contains a metro stop in the basement , the easiest way to try to it. It’s also on bus routes and there are grab pick up and drop off locations nearby. The towers are surrounded by built up city blocks and the huge KLCC park which offers the best views. It can get super busy and really hot, so I went there early in the morning to take it all in. For transportation, we mainly used the subway, so we chose accommodations close to the station, about 300 meters away, which was very convenient. Hotel Mystays Ueno East offers breakfast packs that you can take away, which was very convenient because we had to wake up early to go out and take photos. The hotel had housekeeping clean and change towels every day, and there were DHC toiletries available for guests, such as facial foam, cleansing oil, and face cream in travel sizes, which we could use at any time.
