Happy Birthday to my sweetheart husband 💓 💕💖 ¡ Feliz cumpleaños! It was my first time to eat at a five-star high-end restaurant in Xinyi District [Café de Café at Grand Hyatt Hotel]. The all-you-can-eat restaurant brought together eight exotic cuisines and a variety of carefully selected food and beverages👍👍👍 The lobby is very luxurious, and the fountain and crystal chandelier are great for taking photos. Grand Hyatt also provides accommodation, which is very high-end. There were so many people at the afternoon tea which started at 15:00, and everyone had to queue up in order with number tags. This restaurant is very popular. It is not recommended to make a reservation a week in advance, as you may not be able to get a good seat (it is inconvenient to get food at the bar) or it may be full. They have a motto: The Art Of Jamu, In this place you can try drinks/viral drinks that made of Jamu as a base. Jamu, pronounced ja-moo, is an Indonesian traditional herbal drink. Made from natural ingredients, Jamu is supposed to help cure all sorts of physical ailments from masuk angin (common cold). I recommend you to come to this place, coz this is the first cafe that sell jamu. Except Jamu, they also offers some food and snacks. I tried their Pisang Goreng/Fried Banana and their Kunyit Asam in tubruk style. Surprisingly the taste of the drink are so refreshing. The Broken Dagger is a small fancy bar in Xuhui. Ambience is quite nice and intriguing, however it’s super expensive. Because the cocktail requires a video, I added a part B of this moment! (check it by using #criskotsu) I came for two particular drinks I read about and look super cool. What I found was something a bit different. One of them was not available anymore, sadly. The second one was quit a view: Like you see in this first pic, this special cocktail that you can’t find anywhere in Shanghai: a smoke bubble cocktail (128 RMB) 💨. They bring you the cocktail, with a tiny spade, and you get to pop it. I can assure you this is high quality liquor. A bit strong at first, but you get a nice taste going through your throat. I shall warn you, even if you are good managing your liquor intake, this cocktail will soon make you feel tipsy. Although, I don’t think it actually worth that high price. To be honest, I consider this place worths the visit at least once. Even if is expensive, cocktails have great presentations and flavors. Maybe you can bring your date if you want to impress her/him.
