COLOSSEUM & ITS PERMANENCE
The Colosseum, an oval construction measuring 188 meters long, 156 meters wide, and 57 meters high, became the largest Roman amphitheater. Built of brick and coated with travertine, it has five stories and can accommodate more than 50,000 people. Its boundaries were set according to social class; the higher the rank to which a person belonged, the closer they were to the arena.
The Coliseum underwent settlement and renovation work in the nineteenth century, and despite suffering damage from attacks during Globe War I, this imposing and beautiful structure has endured time and war to become a cultural landmark for the city and the rest of the world.
The Colosseum has experienced lootings, earthquakes, and even bombings during World War Two since the sixth century. The Colosseum, displaying a strong sense of survival, served for many years as a warehouse, church, cemetery, and even a castle for nobles.

CITY CENTRE OF ANCIENT ROME
Roman Forum, also known as Forum Romanum in Latin, was the most significant forum in ancient Rome. It was located on a flat area between the Capitoline and Palatine hills. In republican times, gladiatorial battles, law courts, and public gatherings all took place in the Roman Forum, which was also lined with stores and outdoor markets. Many of the city's most impressive temples and monuments were located there throughout the empire, when it primarily served as a hub for religious and secular performances and rituals.
The Cloaca Maxima, the Mamertine Prison, the Temple of Saturn, the Temple of Vesta, the Temple of Romulus, the Temple of Castor and Pollux, and the Temple of the Deified Caesar are just a few of the buildings that have survived in whole or in part.

BELLA DUOMO DI MILANO
The Duomo of Milan: visitors to the city will not be able to overlook this spectacular specimen of Gothic architecture, abounding in spires that have made it the city's icon.
The Duomo di Milano, or Milan Church, is a massive Gothic-style cathedral in the centre of Milan. It is 515 feet (157 meters) in length and 302 feet (92 meters) in width. It has a capacity of 40.000 people. Milan's Duomo is one of the world's largest Catholic cathedrals.
The Duomo di Milano is one of Milan's most important attractions and well worth a visit. Climbing to the top of the rooftop terrace also provides spectacular views of the city. The Treasure, on the other hand, is not as appealing as the rest of the Cathedral.
Keep in mind that even if it is really hot outside, you must dress in clothing that covers your shoulders and knees; otherwise, you will most likely be denied entry.

CITY BRIDGES 🌁
A multitude of crossings across the Danube, ranging from medieval to modern, provide vital connections between the city's two halves: Buda and Pest.
🌁 Széchenyi Lánchíd (The Chain Bridge) - One of Budapest’s most iconic architectural landmarks, the Chain Bridge was the first permanent crossing connecting Buda to Pest.
🌁 Margit híd (Margaret Bridge) - The second oldest bridge in Budapest, Margit Híd connects Pest to Buda via Margaret Island.
🌁 Erzsébet híd (Elisabeth Bridge) - One of Budapest’s newer bridges (its third newest, to be precise), this narrow crossing between Buda and Pest was originally constructed as a chain bridge and opened in 1903. Its namesake was Queen Elisabeth of Bavaria, and her statue can be found at the Buda end of the bridge.
🌁 Petőfi híd (Petőfi Bridge)
- Connecting Boráros tér on the Pest side of the city with Goldmann Görgy tér in Buda, this unassuming bridge in Southern Budapest was built according to practicality, at a time when Hungary was suffering the economic difficulties sparked by World War 1.

THE MAGNIFICENT PARLIAMENT
The splendor of this neo-Gothic parliament building is truly obvious from the outside. On the banks of the Danube, the House of Parliament can be seen magnificently displaying its splendor. Since 1987, the building has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Danube Banks.
The Hungarian Parliament, which is lavishly ornamented both inside and out, was inspired by London's Houses of Parliament, and was built in a Neo-Gothic style with Renaissance and Baroque flourishes. It was created on the 1000th anniversary of Hungary's establishment, making it the world's third largest parliament.

Shanghai’s Iconic Towers… Closer 🌇🌃✨
While The Bund remains the most popular place for the perfect picture-postcard of the city, have you ever thought of having a closer look at those towers? 🤩
I found Lujiazui on a day trip. My friend and I took a bus from Shanghai Railway station to get off at People’s Square, but unfortunately missed our stop and ended up getting off at this random bus stop in Pudong district 🙈 We walked a bit and found this amazing flyover ring pathway above the main road which allows you to have a closer look at those towers: Shanghai World Financial Center, Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai Tower & The Oriental Pearl Tower🤩✨ It’s such a fantastic spot for urban pictures! 📸 The pathway is also connected to the malls around. It gets busy in the late afternoon/evening especially when the lights are on. A must visit when in Shanghai 💯
How to go ➡️ Lujiazui metro station on line 2 & 14, 陆家嘴 is right at this spot. Climb the stairs to get on the flyover pathway.

Cheung Chau day trip
Cheung Chau is an island located around an hour's ferry ride away from Central. It feels like a small village compared to the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. The village island is easily doable in a day. I recommend arriving early and leaving after dinner to get the most of the island. The island is easily walkable but bikes are also a great way to get around. Apart from hiking trails, the island also has some nice beaches, complete with facilities. The island is also known for its snacks, such giant fish balls, mango mochies and Ping on buns. They are all very tasty and great souvenirs for your city dwellers. The slower atmosphere is a good relief from the busyness of the city. #hongkong #getaway #citytravel

BUDA CASTLE ILLUMINATES
Without a doubt, Buda Castle is one of the most well-known images of the capital. Because it was once the residence of the Hungarian kings, the castle is also known as the Royal Palace.
Buda Castle, along with the Chain Bridge to which it is connected, is a spectacular castle and one of Budapest and Hungary's most magnificent emblems. Buda Castle now houses the Budapest History Museum, the National Széchényi Library, and the Hungarian National Gallery.
The majestic Buda Castle, perched atop Castle Hill, commands a commanding panorama of Pest and the Danube. The views from Fisherman's Bastion are remarkably similar. The palace complex, which is connected to the Chain Bridge, is particularly beautiful at night, when the bridge and the Castle are illuminated.
