TLC continues to invest in flagship redneck family, ordering 12 new episodes of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” along with three specials.
The fresh episodes of the reality series, which are being tacked on to “Honey Boo Boo’s” current second season, will premiere on Jan. 1.
“The world continues to be fascinated by the Boo Boo gang and their crazy hijinks,” said Howard Lee, exec veep of production and development for TLC. “As Alana gets older, the dynamic between her parents and sisters is changing. Viewers can look forward to seeing a different side of the family as they embark on this exciting new chapter of their lives.”
“Honey Boo Boo” recently drew its biggest audience yet on Sept. 11, when 3.2 million viewers tuned in to watch Mama June and Sugar Bear hold a commitment ceremony.
