Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan is an American actor and singer, known for her roles in "The Parent Trap," "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls."

Born in New York City, Lohan entered into showbiz at the age of 3 when she was signed to Ford Models. She had already appeared in over 50 television commercials by the time she scored her first regular role on the soap opera "Another World" in 1996 at the age of 10. She made her film debut in 1998's "The Parent Trap," playing identical twins who conspire to get their divorced parents back together, which received critical and commercial acclaim. After starring in two made-for-TV movies, "Life-Size" alongside Tyra Banks in 2002 and Disney Channel's "Get a Clue" in 2002, a now-teenaged Lohan made herself known in "Freaky Friday" (2003) opposite Jamie Lee Curtis. She continued her breakout in 2004, starring in both Disney's "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" and the teen comedy "Mean Girls," which was a critical and commercial success and remains her most iconic role. After "Mean Girls" shot her to mainstream fame, Lohan released her debut album, "Speak," in December 2004. It peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. She returned to Disney in 2005 for the film "Herbie: Fully Loaded," and released her second album, "A Little More Personal (Raw)" later that year.

After the 2006 rom-com "Just My Luck" received poor reviews, Lohan began to focus more on independent film, starring alongside Meryl Streep in Robert Altman's "A Prairie Home Companion" and Emilio Estevez's Robert F. Kennedy assassination drama "Bobby." Around this time, Lohan checked into rehab for drug and alcohol abuse, which stalled her career. Her film comeback was pegged to be Paul Schrader's "The Canyons," but reviews were generally poor and reports emerged of conflict between her and Schrader on set. After another break from the spotlight, Lohan once again returned in 2022 for Netflix's Christmas comedy "Falling for Christmas." That same year, it was revealed that she had signed a Netflix deal for two more films, one of which was "Irish Wish," which released in March. She also made a cameo appearance in the musical remake of "Mean Girls." Next, Lohan is due to reprise her "Freaky Friday" role in a long-awaited sequel.
