**Read the Room: Buccament Government School Library** The Rotaract Club of Kingstown undertook the "Read the Room: Buccament Government School Library" project to enhance education and literacy at the primary school level in Dubois, an area often overlooked for support. The initiative aimed to refurbish a neglected reading room, transforming it into an inviting literacy corner for the children. Thanks to sponsorship from Republic Bank Ltd., the project successfully revamped the space using XCD$10,500.00. Within 6 months, they painted the walls, added new furniture, tiled the floor, and created engaging murals, making the room a vibrant and welcoming environment for reading. #ReadTheRoom #LiteracyProject #RotaractKingstown #Education #CommunitySupport #NEW #NewEraWisdom #District7030 #RotaryInternational #Rotaract #District7030Rotaract #TheMagicOfRotary #RotaryDistrict7030

Exactly one week ago, members of the Rotary Family of St Vincent and the Grenadines journeyed to Canouan for a special Back-to-School edition of the Rotary Village Doctor! 🙌 💙🚢 Over 224 residents received medical care from our amazing team of doctors and nurses 🩺, and we could not have done it without the support of SVG Pharmaceutical Association, Express Pharmacy, and Q Care Pharmacy for helping fill prescriptions on-site! 💊 We also had Sono SVG with us for ultrasound and X-ray services 🩻, and our friends at Eyes R Us donated 25 vouchers for free eye care and glasses 👓. Our “Free Market” was a hit, with the distribution backpacks packed with both secondary and primary school supplies 🎒✏️ thanks to St. Vincent Co-operative Bank Ltd., Digicel St. Vincent Ltd., and Jax Enterprises Ltd.! We also had personal care items, books, and clothing donated by our Rotary family, SVG Association of Ex Coast Guard Officers, and Caring for Others Inc. 📚👕 Huge shoutout to Massy Stores for providing food and water to the elderly 💧, and Courts Unicomer Ltd. for donating tech and essentials to the school and police station 🖥️🛏️. Special thanks to Mr. James Lane, Bequia Express Co., well as Mandarin Oriental for supporting our journey and keeping us fueled with lunch! 🍽️ And a big thank you to Dr. Omar Edwards and the Mandarin Oriental medical team for being there with us every step of the way! None of this would be possible without the help of our amazing volunteers and community partners. We continue to work together to make a real difference 💪💙 #RotaryVillageDoctor #PeopleOfAction #HurricaneBerylRelief #Canouan #DisasterRelief #HurricaneBeryl #RotaryInternational #TheMagicOfRotary #Rotaract #District7030Rotaract #NavigatingEmergingWaves #RotaractClubOfKingstown #UnifiedVisionSharedSuccess #RotaractImpact #District7030Rotaey Rotaract District 7030 Rotary Zones 33/34

As we observe September as Rotary’s Basic Education and Literacy Month, the Rotaract Club of Kingstown, as part of the Rotary Family in SVG, remains committed to supporting education and literacy through impactful projects. Most recently, we would have aided families affected by Hurricane Beryl by distributing essential school supplies at Canouan Secondary School during the most recent Rotary Village Doctor event. Furthermore, we have completed library renovation projects and set up a Little Free Library to encourage the free exchange of books and promote reading and literacy. Our dedication to enhancing education does not stop here. We are continuously planning future projects to promote literacy and support educational development, because we believe quality education is a fundamental right and the cornerstone of a prosperous future. #BasicEducationAndLiteracyMonth #RotaryInternational #TheMagicOfRotary #Rotaract #District7030Rotaract #NavigatingEmergingWaves #RotaractClubOfKingstown #UnifiedVisionSharedSuccess #RotaractImpact #RotaryFamilySVG

Our final meeting for the Rotary year 2023-2024 was held today and encompassed a combination of service updates, from community to international, alongside insights into the effectiveness of our public relations for the past year. Today’s meeting also included our final professional development exercise, ‘The Life Compass’ led by Director Shari, where through introspection and open conversations, we delved into what defines us and uncovered core values within ourselves which would help to shape our paths, from education and career to health and relationships. This exercise prompted deep introspection, revealing what truly matters to us and areas we might want to nurture further. As we prepare for the upcoming Rotary year, these insights will guide us in our collective journey of service and personal growth. 🌟 #FellowshipThroughService #RotaryInternational #CreateHopelnTheWorld #Rotaract #District7030Rotaract #DareToDream #RotaractClubOfKingstown #DreamsInAction #RotaractImpact
