⬇️🎥 _____________________________ [𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵] ✨ 𝗔𝗻 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲-𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲✨ 𝐴 𝑑𝑦𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑐 𝑙𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑠 𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑒𝑥𝑐𝑒𝑝𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝑑𝑒𝑡𝑎𝑖𝑙𝑠 A year ago, kobi lighting studio was selected to collaborate with JLR and their local partner Pon Phu Thai Mobility for the launch of their pilot showroom concept in Hanoi, Vietnam. This showroom was designed as a work of art - intended to immerse customers in a unique and captivating experience. Jaguar Land Rover sought to reinvent automotive spaces and transform the customer experience in an evolving market by subtly and harmoniously integrating elements from the fashion industry and luxury craftsmanship. For our lighting experts, this project represented a significant creative and technical challenge. They needed to absorb the essence of the brand, understand its history, and align perfectly with the new vision of JLR group. In a very limited time, they managed to design a lighting concept that not only synthesized, but also elevated and integrated the space and the vehicles. Discover in our newest interview how Jonathan Trouillon, Creative Director at kobi lighting studio, and his team devised a lighting strategy to create an unforgettable visual journey through light and design. ⬇️🎥 #JaguarLandRover #ExpérienceImmersive #ConceptionD'Éclairage #StyleDeVieLuxueux #kobilightingstudio

#30DayMapChallenge – Day 14: A World Map   🇬🇧 In 2021, France has created an indicator to assess and monitor light pollution. Published by the French Office for Biodiversity, it focuses on the level of night sky brightness as perceived from the ground. It is used to determine, for each point in a territory, whether the night sky can be considered of good quality (dark), medium quality (not very dark) or poor quality (bright or very bright). To assess the brightness of the sky over large areas, we use night-time satellite images and then model the diffusion of light in the atmosphere. The map below was produced from satellite data collected in 2023 by the VIIRS instrument (operated by NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration and NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration), and using DarkSkyLab's Otus modeling software. As VIIRS data is collected in the middle of the night, ity enables light pollution to be assessed at a time when human activity is at its lowest. This would be different (and sometimes very different) if the data were acquired in the evening: we would see much higher levels of brightness, particularly in areas where outdoor lighting is turned off in the middle of the night (as is the case in many parts of France, for example).

FRIDAY NIGHT - FIGHTING #lightpollution #82: 𝗜𝘀 𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗸𝘆 - 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠? Light pollution is often perceived as an aesthetic issue impacting our night skies. It encompasses various phenomena such as light trespass, over-illumination, glare, light clutter, and skyglow, yet these categories fail to capture the broader ecological disruptions caused by artificial lighting. In the context of light poverty in the previous FNP #81, the desire for illumination has likely led to excessive use of artificial light, compounding these issues. The introduction of artificial light – especially through technologies designed to meet the demand for lights – has upset this balance. Ecosystems, which consist of living organisms and their environments, rely on a delicate balance known as “Ecological Equilibrium.” For billions of years, natural light has shaped the behaviors and survival strategies of species, and the prevalence of artificial light disrupts these natural rhythms. Although LEDs are often known as energy-efficient and sustainable solutions, their environmental impact must be evaluated across their entire life cycle, from production to disposal. This critical examination reveals that while they may address one problem – energy consumption – they can simultaneously create others, such as waste and resource depletion, encouraging us to retrace the artificial Lights’ life cycle. #FridayNightPollution #FNP #PollutionLumineuse #LutteContreLaPollutionLumineuse #kobilightingstudio #ConsultantsEnÉclairage #éthique #lumièrepauvreté #LightPollution #EnvironmentalImpact #SustainableDevelopment

𝗔 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗛 𝗢𝗙 𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗛𝗢 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗠: 𝐖𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚, 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 Recognized as one of the standouts in the VMARK Design Award 2024, this villa is a bath of light for the soul – where the family owner can reconnect and unwind in the Light that radiates tranquility and reintroduces moments of well-being. The challenge was to create a Light that pursues the bioclimatic intention of T3 ARCHITECTS . The approach at kobi lighting studio was to bring to real life the aligned vision of the Villa Owner, Architects, and Lighting Designers. We respect the natural Daylight and Darkness and aim to preserve the surrounding fauna and flora through the use of excessive artificial light. The garden lighting is subtle, switching off early, allowing nocturnal wildlife to thrive undisturbed while gingerly illuminating the villa. Lighting design that accompanies contemporary architecture. Walking through this villa, you can feel the connection to the earth – where the textures, colors, and lights come together to create a serene escape. As night falls, the stars shine brighter, and the villa transforms into a peaceful retreat, that invites to slow down and simply be - Living. Tonight, October 17th, marks our third supermoon of the year, known as the Hunter’s Moon. A supermoon occurs when the moon's orbit brings it closest to Earth while it's in its full phase, making it appear larger and brighter in the sky. Regardless of your location, you can expect to see a large and more luminous moon gracing the night sky, offering spectacular natural lighting to step outside and connect with nature. 🌝 #DarkSky #ProtectTheNight #DiscoverTheNight #ROLAN #DarkSkyInternational #SaveTheNight #NightMatters #LightPollution #FullMoon #HuntersMoon
