One of the causes that King Charles III cares about most is sustainable development and environmental protection. In 2021, while serving as Prince of Wales, the King met with Viet Nam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh within the framework of the COP26 Conference. Here, the King highly appreciated and thanked Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation for their active participation at the COP26 Conference in particular and for global efforts to respond to climate change in general. The King also expressed his wish to promote Viet Nam - UK cooperation in environmental protection projects, biodiversity conservation... to develop a green, circular, sustainable and low-carbon economy. Today, the COP29 Conference taking place in Baku is entering its final working day. Within the framework of the conference, a representative from the Viet Nam Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) to the ASEAN Working Group on Climate Change participated in a panel on ASEAN - UK Climate Collaboration – showcasing ASEAN - UK partnership and leadership on climate, energy and nature. With the support of the King, the UK is committed to supporting Viet Nam in energy transition, sustainable agriculture, green cities and infrastructure, green rural development, and climate-resilient coastal development to drive our collective net-zero ambition. #GREATSustainability #COP29 #KBP2024
