This November, at the 5G ORAN Vietnam Connect 2024 event, Viettel announced the large-scale commercial deployment of the 5G Open RAN broadcast station "Make in Vietnam, Made by Viettel." This is the first 5G Open RAN broadcast station in the world to use Qualcomm chipsets, jointly researched and developed by Viettel High-Tech Industry Corporation (VHT) and Qualcomm. Accordingly, from the beginning of 2025, Viettel will deploy more than 300 5G Open RAN stations in several provinces and cities, moving towards expansion in Vietnam and international markets.

Exciting news! Viettel and Ericsson are joining forces to accelerate 5G innovation in Vietnam! 🚀 This strategic partnership will focus on developing cutting-edge applications on Viettel's robust 5G platform, focusing on: Network API, Network Slicing, and 5G applications for corporates.

The highest prize value is up to 150,000 USD, allowing competition among professional athletes, individuals, and runner groups.

Opening this November at the Central Military Commission Office, Mr. Cao Anh Son and Mr. Nguyen Dat were appointed as the new Deputy General Directors of Viettel Group. Before the appointment, Mr. Cao Anh Son was the General Director of Viettel Telecommunications Corporation (Viettel Telecom) for six consecutive years, while Mr. Nguyen Dat was the General Director of Viettel Networks. Both achieved outstanding achievements in infrastructure and technical work, especially the 4G network development program and 5G network infrastructure in 2024.

On October 28, Dubai, Viettel AI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Presight, the leading generative AI and big data analysis company in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to the agreement, Viettel AI and Presight will cooperate in developing generative AI (AI that creates images, text, and video-based on existing data), AI to serve the operation of smart cities and distribution solutions, big data analysis for businesses, and AI human resource development.

Massive cheers to Viettel Cyber Security for their second Pwn2Own Victory, which secured them the crown of the "Cyber Security World Cup." Following several exciting years in Toronto, the Pwn2Own event was organized in Trend Micro’s offices in Cork, Ireland, from October 22-25, 2024. Each year, security researchers from across the globe gather to exploit vulnerabilities in popular software and devices, pushing the boundaries of cybersecurity.

Before ending his term and returning to his home country, the Cuban Ambassador in Vietnam, Orlando Guillen, came to say goodbye and expressed his interest in Viettel to promote high-technology investment in Cuba.
