We recently saw the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D hit its lowest price yet of $499 US but that is no longer the case as the chip is now available for even lower at $486 US, making it a superb choice for high-end gamers and PC builders.
In terms of specifications, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D CPU comes with a 3D V-Cache design, packing 16 cores, 32 threads based on the Zen 4 core architecture, and clock speeds of 4.2 GHz base and 5.7 GHz boost. The chip has 1 MB of L1 cache, 16 MB of L2 cache, and 128 MB of L3 cache (32 + 32 + 64) with the additional 64 MB cache stacked on top of one of the CCDs. The CPU also comes with a reduced TDP of 120W versus the 170W TDP of the non-X3D chip. So coming back to the prices, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D CPU launched back in Q1 2024 for a price of $699 US (MSRP). The CPU saw some neat discounts over the next couple of months and can be purchased for $486 US right now. That's a reduction of $213 US versus the MSRP (-30%) which can also be attributed to the upcoming Ryzen 9000 and Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs launch. The Ryzen 9000 CPUs are said to offer similar performance as the Ryzen 7000X3D chips while accelerating the multi-threaded performance by a giant leap.
The AMD Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs still pack a lot of punch and with the price cuts, they make for a great CPU solution for your high-end gaming, content creation, and multi-threaded PC needs.
