AMD's Highly Anticipated Ryzen AI 300 APU-Powered Laptops Available On The 28th of July, Just A Few Days Before Ryzen 9000 Desktop CPUs

AMD's release of their new Strix Point "Ryzen AI 300" APUs has got the markets hyped up, not only because they will debut with high-end capabilities but because they are expected to take the mobile platform to new heights, especially with the AI PC trend. AMD did state that these laptops will be available in July and they will stick by their promise but internally, we know that the launch was going to take place a bit earlier.

A few days ago, we reported on ASUS listing models of its anticipated Strix Point laptops on its official website, which revealed that the firm plans on releasing specific models by 15th July, but recent listings on BestBuy show that ASUS's Ryzen AI 300 laptops will be released into the markets by 28th July. This is two more weeks of wait but nothing that should put users off considering the fantastic performance capabilities that are on offer.

Regardless of that, given that we haven't seen retailers listing AMD's Ryzen AI 300 "Strix Point" APUs so far it could be entirely possible that it is an ASUS-related scenario but all reports suggest that the first laptops will indeed hit retail shelves on the 28th of July. However, you can expect them to drop by mid- or end-July, so there isn't much to worry about. What's more exciting to see is how the new APUs by AMD reshape the mobile computing segment, considering that they offer much superior performance over previous generations, especially in terms of the AI power the XDNA 2 engine holds within itself.

Unlike Qualcomm's Snapdragon X laptops, the AMD Ryzen AI 300 platform will feature a robust x86 CPU with a powerful and well-tuned RDNA 3.5 iGPU. AMD and its iGPU drivers have stood out from the rest with great graphics capabilities and support for the latest features which make them a highly regarded product, not just for AI PCs but for Mini PC and Handheld designs too.

With that, ASUS became the first manufacturer to list AMD's Ryzen AI 300 laptops "officially" in respective retail places, and given the approaching launch dates, we expect other firms to follow suit.
