Intel's Arc Battlemage "X2" & "X3" graphics cards have been spotted featuring up to 56 Xe2 cores and a 256-bit bus interface.

Intel's High-End Arc Battlemage Graphics Cards Show Up With "X2" & "X3" Codenames

The new information on Intel's Arc Battlemage "Xe2" graphics cards comes from nbd.ltd and Volza, who mainly log the customs and shipping data on their online databases.

As per the new data, Intel seems to be using new X2 and X3 codenames for its next-generation graphics cards though it isn't known if these are official brandings or just internal codenames for the cards. One of the cards has been listed under "Churchill Falls" and is reportedly a canceled SKU based on the BMG-G10 die.

Starting with the details, we first have the Intel Arc Battlemage "X3" graphics card which utilizes the BMG-G10 GPU die. This is a flagship SKU that was reported a while back but based on the recent reports, it appears to have been canceled. The space is filled with the BMG-G21 and BMG-G31 dies.

This graphics card was expected to feature 448 EUs or 28 Xe2 cores & featured an 8-layer PCB with a 256-bit bus interface. The graphics card featured 16 GB of GDDR6(x) memory and that's about as much info we can extract about this part.

Now there's no evidence if this SKU or GPU die has been canceled apart from rumors but it would be nice to see Intel doing a high-end graphics card like this within its Arc Battlemage lineup.

The second SKU is a bigger mystery since there's no telling what GPU it actually houses but we have seen references to the BMG-G21 die so that might be the one featured on this graphics card. The BMG-G21 GPU has already shown up in the same logs and Intel seems to be testing a range of active-fan heatsinks with these engineering samples.

Apart from these, the Intel Arc Battlemage BMG-G31 GPUs also showed up a while ago with these featuring up to 32 Xe2 cores, half the amount of the BMG-G10 die.

What we really know about the Intel Arc Battlemage graphics cards is that they could offer up to 50% performance uplift versus the existing Alchemist chips, offer a brand new ray tracing engine, and some really awesome features such as VVC support plus improvements in terms of software and driver support. Intel's Arc BMG "Battlemage" Xe2 GPUs are expected to be introduced later this year so stay tuned for more info.
