NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4070 Ti & RTX 4070 Non-SUPER GPUs Start To See Price Promos, Dropping Down To $699 & $519 US

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GPU was replaced by the new GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER a few weeks back at the same MSRP. The original card wasn't well-received owing to its poor perf/$ and the fact that it featured a 12 GB VRAM at a $799 US price point. The SUPER variant offered more VRAM of 16 GB and better core specifications, making it a better card and a great seller in the gaming market as reported here.

Despite the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti being replaced, several models are still available on the market, and NVIDIA's AIBs are expected to offer price cuts and promos to attract gamers. it looks like the first wave of these promotional discounts is here with the RTX 4070 Ti Non-SUPER being sold for $699 US at Newegg.

The specific variants that have received this price cut are the MSI Ventus 2X in standard and white flavors. Both models feature OC specifications and a dual-fan cooling solution. The standard OC variant is listed for $699 US while the White OC variant is listed for $729 US. This is a $100 US price reduction versus its original MSRP of $799 US and it makes a lot of sense to drop the prices now as with the launch of the new SUPER variant, it is simply impossible to sell both cards at the same price.

In terms of value, it looks like AMD still leads with its Radeon RX 7900 XT GPUs being offered at the same $699 US price point now and those offer 20 GB VRAM and much higher performance. Despite NVIDIA's feature and efficiency advantage, the 7900 XT will be the better purchase, and if you want something a bit better, than the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is the obvious choice but that costs $100 US more.

Meanwhile, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Non-SUPER has also seen a price drop to $519 US with the GALAX reference model being offered with a 1-click OC design at Amazon. This model features a dual-fan and dual-slot cooler and comes with the standard 8-pin power connector.

NVIDIA's RTX 4070 Non-SUPER models weren't replaced by the RTX 4070 SUPER and can be found around $549 US which is the new official MSRP of the card however NVIDIA has previously stated that gamers can find the card for way less than that. We can expect the price to drop below $500 US in the next few months.
