Motorola is expected to launch the Moto G85 in the global markets soon. The phone’s high-res renders have leaked, revealing its likely design and colour options. While we had spotted some of its specifications on Geekbench recently, a tipster has divulged more details. And the leaked renders also give away one key omission of this device compared to its predecessor. Here, take a look:
Moto G85 renders: design, colours (leaked)
- Per the renders shared by Evan Blass (@EVleaks) via X, the Moto G85 could come in a Brass and Dark Grey colour. We are also expecting a Blue colour.
- The front side shows its punch-hole cutout and slim bezels on all sides.
- The device seems to have a slight curve on both the front and the back. It also appears to have a slender profile.
- The rear camera bump appears to have a smooth and seamless elevation from the rest of the surface. For comparison, the Moto G84’s rear camera mesa was set separately on its back side. The G85’s appearance looks more comely and similar to the Motorola Edge 50 Pro.
- The renders suggest two rear cameras.
- We also get to see the ‘M’ insignia.

- The bottom side has a speaker grille, a SIM tray, a USB-C port, and a mic hole, while the other hole is on the top side.
- What’s missing though is a 3.5mm headphone jack. The G84 had one. So, this could disappoint some Moto fans.

Moto G85 specifications (expected)
- Display: Per tipster MysteryLupin on X, the phone could ship with a 6.67-inch pOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. This would be taller than the 6.5-inch panel on the G84.
- Cameras: The rear setup could include a 50MP main camera (f/1.79″) and a 9MP ultrawide sensor with macro capability. The front camera could be a 32MP sensor.
- Processor: Under the hood, you could get an octa-core Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC with 2.3GHz clock speed and Adreno 619 GPU. The chip is faster than the Snapdragon 695 5G inside its precursor.
- Software: It could be running on a nearly stock Android 14.
- Memory: It could feature 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.
- Battery: You could get a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
- Weight: The phone could weigh only 173 grams. Like we said in the beginning, it looks petite. This is still a bit heavier than the Moto G84 which only weighed 166g even with a 5,000mAh cell.
