Janis Campbell is an author and freelance writer living in Northern Michigan with her husband, two teenage sons, and two golden retrievers. After a 20-year newspaper career; including the last 14-plus years at the Detroit Free Press; Janis is now busy earning a master's degree in organizational management and working on several books for young readers. She's co-authored seven books, including picture books, a cookbook, and curriculum guides for teachers. She is a passionate advocate for finding the right school and resources for children with learning differences. She's grateful to report that her high school junior is thriving at the Leelanau School in Glen Arbor, Michigan.
