Makeup artist Kristin Gallegos has worked with Karen Elson, Agyness Deyn, and Feist. She's a backstage artist who's fun to watch--and learn from. Here's what's in her makeup trunk:
Bioderma Crealine H20 Cleansing Water. Apply this no-rinse cleanser to a cotton pad, and say buh-bye to even the most stubborn makeup. "It's the only thing models will let you take their makeup off with," says Gallegos. Since there are rarely sinks backstage, this comes in handy.
Embryolisse Lait Crème Concentraté. Prep skin with this cream to see just how smooth and flawless your concealer and foundation can look. "Hands down, it's the best moisturizer," she says.
Aquaphor Original Ointment. "Soothing and not too glossy, this makes the best lip balm."
Dior DiorShow Mascara. "It adds the perfect amount of length, separation, and volume—and it doesn't clump."
Le Métier de Beauté Eye Brightening and Setting Powder. Gallegos uses this powder to set undereye concealer, while brightening and diffusing discoloration.
Gallegos is in Paris now, and no doubt she'll come back with some new obsessions, which I know she'll share. (She's nice like that.)
