Cardi B has been having a lot of fun putting her spin on the ever-popular coquette trend this year, bedecking her hairstyles with sweet, girlish bows a la the trending look and its beloved signature hair accessory. In a new video, the rapper takes her love of the bow many, many, many steps further with butt-length hair covered in adorable, teeny pastel ribbons.

In the video, which she shared via Instagram Reels, Cardi performs her verse from her new collab with Megan Thee Stallion and Glorilla, “Wanna Be." She's wearing a very coquettish outfit of a gray and white layered miniskirt and a yellow sweater vest layered over a striped shirt, complete with argyle socks and platform shoes, and her long, super straight hair is covered in baby blue and bright white bows to complement the colors of her shirt and socks, as well as the peekaboo ruffles under the gray skirt. The bow accessories begin near her ears on either side of an extremely precise center part and flow all the way down past her hips to her butt.

Cardi paired her ribbons with softly smoky eyes and her favorite blue contacts, plus a glossy lip and a long, bedazzled manicure, all the better to hold her tiny Birkin bag with.

Celebrities have really embraced the coquette aesthetic in myriad ways, like Saweetie's coquette-meets-Mob-Wife manicure, a stiletto French covered in bows and pearls, and Zendaya's Challengers-inspired take on hair ribbons. Even Jennifer Lopez put her personal stamp on the look, wearing a moss-green velvet bow in her softly curled bob. We can't forget Selena Gomez's XXL bow or Sarah Jessica Parker's butt-length ribbons, either.

The coquette look encourages you to lean into the girliest elements and supersize them, and Cardi would agree. "I'm not toxic I'm deadly,” she wrote, but this bow-moment is definitely more pretty than poison.
