Welcome to December, Pisces. Last month, your horoscope discussed how the transformative planet Pluto moved out of Capricorn and, in a once-in-generation shift, into Aquarius, where it will stay until 2043. December turns your attention to more immediate matters, such as the importance of friends and self-care.
The warrior planet Mars goes retrograde in your sixth House of Health starting on Friday, December 6 and will stay there until the end of February. Mars retrograde is often associated with shifts in libido. This certainly isn't a guarantee, but if it happens be kind to yourself and embrace it. It's normal, even without astrology, for that to ebb and change. Mars retrograde is also associated with feeling less interested in work, so use it as an excuse to truly appreciate a work/life balance. As it's retrograding in your sixth House, self-care truly is the name of the game.
Also, on Friday, December 6, the generous planet Venus enters Aquarius and your 12th House of Unconscious. This is a very spiritually expanding transit. This weekend, allow yourself to go to church, work with tarot, or connect with ancestors. You may also want to keep a dream journal by your bed to jot down any messages that come to you while you sleep.
The next day, Saturday, December 7, Ceres, the asteroid of nurturance, moves into your 11th House of Friendship. Later in December, many of you will travel to see blood relatives for the winter holidays. While some people have lovely relationships with their family, others do not. Ceres moving into your 11th House is a reminder to carve out time this month for your chosen family, too.
On Saturday, December 7, your ruling planet, Neptune, goes direct in your sign, Pisces. Neptune is the planet of fantasy and dreams. When its retrograde ends, it feels like a fog is lifted. Once it's direct, you should gain clarity about something that's been bothering you. It can also make you even more spiritually aware.
You might want to mark down Sunday, December 15, in your calendar. To start, messenger Mercury ends its retrograde and goes direct. This further reduces misunderstandings. It also means that travel should not be too miserable. If any exes have been pestering you, or, if you've been pestering any exes, it's also time to let that be. The sky also lights up with a Gemini full moon in your fourth House on Sunday, December 15. At times, full moons can be a little anxiety-inducing, so it's a reminder to take it easy and relax on this date.
The sun moves into Capricorn on Saturday, December 21, which is the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. It's another night that you may want to spend relaxing at home with loved ones. This day is also Yule, which you can think of as a witchy Christmas. Many Christmas traditions, such as decorating trees and lighting candles, are said to come from Yule. For the next few weeks, the sun is in your friendship-oriented 11th House, so remember to continue to make time for your chosen family.
Chiron, the wounded healer, goes direct in your 12th House on Sunday, December 29. This shift further adds to the spirituality of December. It's going to be a very intuitive month. Trust your gut about people during December.
December wraps up with a new moon, the lunation associated with fresh starts on Monday, December 30, in your community-oriented 11th House.
