For many (myself including), financial wellness can seem like an impossible task. We have a lot going on, mostly priorities, that prevent us from higher level thinking around wealth. Joyce’s straightforward insights, easily digestible words of encouragement, and thoughtful exercises prove that one may acquire wealth while continuing to do what makes one happy. That is, one does not need to sacrifice happiness to attain prosperity or vice versa. Although it is possible to read the entire book in a single session, I encourage readers to take their time. By digesting the content one chapter at a time and fully engaging each exercise in its entirety, one may gradually restructure their lifestyle, as intended with this book. Anything great in life takes investment, commitment, intentionality, and time. I believe this book captures that reality quite well. Having read through each page, I am now revisiting each chapter and exercise daily and sharing what I have gained with others. I love this book and highly recommend it to anyone looking to live a financially abundant, mentally healthy life. Marter’s book proves that this balance is certainly within our reach.

    I’m a healthcare professional and more importantly a human being just like everyone else and this book is opening my eyes and perspectives in more ways than I could’ve imagined when I first started it. My intention with picking up this book was to help unblock my avoidance/procrastination on my need to refresh my investment strategies. Not only has it helped me see why I’m blocked but it is also leading me down a wide wellness path of personal examination and quickly showing me what I need and what choices I need to make to get there. The tools in this book make it all incredibly black and white. I’m only on chapter 9 and I already consider this book the ultimate life hack tool. Every week with every chapter, I find myself having ‘wow’ moments. And these ‘wow’ moments are drifting into conversations with friends and family and creating incredible conversations and dialogs about life and our choices. I’d share all my ‘wow’ moments here, but I don’t want to steal the surprises waiting for you when you take this personal journey yourself. I’m recommending this book to all my friends, family, and colleagues. The author mentions one chapter can take about 2 to 3 hours to complete and that is accurate. Although this is a considerable time investment, the returns I’m receiving from it have been exceeding the effort. I very much anticipate revisiting this book in years to come as I suspect it will continue to provide new doorways of insights as I grow and change in time. And I can already see the abundance and prosperity it is creating in my life. (Thank you Joyce Marter for creating this gift!)

    We hear a lot about 'money mindset' and believing in abundance but this book takes that to a new level. The Financial Mindset Fix gives practical steps and makes these concepts real. Joyce Marter shares her personal and professional experiences as a therapist, which helped me see quickly how I could apply her wisdom to my own life. I highly recommend this book!

    The Financial Mindset Fix by Joyce Marter, LCPC is a personal examination of the mind, heart, body and soul that brings insightful revelations to our own relationships with our self-worth and our self-wealth from a physical stance and a wealth stance. This is not a lecture format, as it is a manual for how to recognize your relationship with money and your relationship with yourself. The author's voice is inviting, soothing, and encouraging, as if you are in a therapy session with her in-person. You clearly believe she believes in you, and she empowers you to examine, study, do the work, and live in abundance. I LOVE the wheels for each chapter and especially the exercises. Get ready to live in abundance - this book is going to change your life!

    I enjoy this book a lot! Mindset places a true perspective on how a person thinks about their financial/mental fitness in life. The wheel exercises break down the level one is at in not only financial matters, but one's own mental wellness. The book is easy to understand and gives examples of people who have had difficulties with their image through failures with monies/interrelationships and have successfully turned their lives around with the author's own personal experiences of failure and success in life as guidance.

    For all my life, I have been putting my work life ahead of everything else, including family, relationships, and mental health. This book is exactly what I needed! It helped me understand that putting work into other areas like relationships and mental health is what helps me to achieve my financial dreams. This book is an incredible self-help book, backed by scientific evidence, and has helped me turn my life around. I started investing in my underlying feelings of self-worth, self-love, presence, positivity. It helped me start a new business and now I feel confident and motivated in achieving my financial dreams while still maintaining a happy and healthy lifestyle.

    I have to admit that I was skeptical before reading this. I am a hardcore numbers person, and a book that discussed our emotional relationship with money did not seem like one I would embrace.

    I could not have been wrong. This book is a game-changer, not only from a financial perspective, but across all of my relationships. The Financial Mindset Fix seamlessly navigates theory with real-life pragmaticism, which results in a very useful tool that can guide all of us to make better decisions for a better life.

    Interesting and thought provoking reading and exercises throughout. However it became hugely repetitive and the last third of the book really didn't offer anything terrifically insightful (or new for that matter). 4 stars dropping to 2 meant an average overall rating of 3 stars.
