How fast can I charge the power station?

High Speed Mode charges the Yeti 700 from 0-100% in about 105 minutes. The 300 and 500 charge faster. Low Speed Mode keeps the unit cooler and quieter and helps preserve battery life. The unit will be set to Low mode when shipped from the factory.

What solar panel should I use with this power station?

We recommend using the Nomad 50 Solar panel with the Yeti 300. To charge the Yeti 500 or Yeti 700, we suggest the Nomad 100. The Yeti 500 and Yeti 700 can handle up to 200 W of solar input if you use an adapter.

Can I use the power station indoors?

Yes. Our power stations are safe to use indoors. They’re quiet, and since they don’t require gas or other fuel, they don’t emit any fumes.

Can I use my Compact Yeti Power Station outside?

Yes. Although you should avoid getting your Yeti wet or excessively dirty, it is designed to withstand exposure to the outdoors and can be rinsed off when you need to clean it.

Charging my MacBook Pro while writing this review at 100 watts is so awesome. Not being tethered to a wall is super convenient. This new unit has lots of awesome new features. I love that I can connect it to the new app and monitor charge profiles, battery health and remotely toggle the ports on and off. My favorite by far is being able to charge the unit directly from a wall outlet at 600 watts, over double what I got off the older version. I also love the build quality. I have seen other units from other brands and the Goal Zero units are by far built to a higher standard.

The newer Yeti 700 device is exactly what I wanted. One need….but not the only need.

I purchased a skylight when it came on the market and used my, sheltered in the Jeep, Yeti 1500x for my fridge to power the light, which kept the light directly adjacent to the vehicle. Our camp site area is quite large and moving the light closer to the activities is an advantage. Full light brightness for a longer is duration Wins as well as better weather protection than earlier models.

Also, in preparation for summer storm season, I can quickly move, recharge this device, and place it where it’s most needed during a power outage.

It’s currently plugged into the house and used as an uninterruptible power supply for my WiFi device.

I have owned many goal zero products over the years and have found them to be among the best in the industry. While there are cheaper options out there, the quality doesn't match up to Goal Zero. The new Yeti power stations are amazing. Super convenient to charge several items at the same time, and super fast to recharge. I haven't hooked my portable Goal Zero 100 Watt solar panel up to it yet, but have no doubts it will work as it does with all my other Goal Zero products. I have only used the Yeti 300 so far, and not sure that I will need to size up any time soon.

This is a great little power station for minor power outages if you need to keep a few appliances running or want to be able to use the internet to see what's going on. Also, obviously useful for when you're out and about camping somewhere that doesn't have any hookups. It's compact, and lightweight compared to, say, a car battery, but it's still a dense boy you're not exactly tossing around. It's easy to tell when it's charging and when it's fully charged, as well as keeping an eye on the power being used by the devices hooked up to it.
